It's sad, we really have a Superbowl team, 1 position holds us back

I was thinking that position clapped on the sidelines.

Another Dak bash thread.

"Stafford or Carr would get the job done" Like how many assumed that Cousins would get the job done with the Vikings, in the "they're just a QB away from being Superbowl contenders" mentality.
Yep, this is definitely a "Bash Dak" thread.

OP, this is something that could have simply been posted in one of the plethora of threads already in existence. It doesn't even have to be in another "Dak" thread. Pretty much every thread contains this sentiment at least once.

We are a team. The sum of all our parts. No team has absolutely everything. Dak is an asset. Change your mindset.

People are so damn eager for the team to fail with Dak. It's like they are foaming at the mouth, ready to pop their champagne, and celebrate.

Dak taking his team to the playoffs 2 out of his last 3 seasons. Winning his division 2 out of his last 3 seasons. Stafford has been in the NFL for about ten seasons and has how many playoff wins or even playoff appearances to show for it? And don't want him to be excused by the Lions being a bad franchise. Since Dak is declared as a "bus driver". If Stafford is a franchise QB and so superior and Elite to Dak, then he should be able to elevate the players around him, make the Lions consistent playoff contenders and not need the team to be "perfect" around him like some claim Dak needs.

Talking about how Dak shouldn't be paid, while Stafford is among the highest paid QBs in the NFL, getting paid to miss the playoffs season after season and being owned by Rodgers in his division. And not even being able to compete for the NFC North, when Rodgers and the Packers are having a down season.

We're headed to the playoffs. If we lose in the playoffs we can look to see who held us back that day because everything starts at zero again.

As we have found out many times, everything has to go right and you have to have a little luck as well. Just need a 4 game streak - just ask Eli.

The offensive line has to get healthy though - I think that is a fact. I watched the game again last night and Dak was great except for 3 throws and a fumble. I like the quick hitters with the TE - I have not seen us do that before and is a great weapon for protection issues.

With this Defense, Rb, and Wr threat to make teams pay for focusing on Elliot. We are built to win it all.

But the QB position still scares me. Defenses focus on Elliot, which in return allows guys like Cooper, Gallup and Beasley to roam free, and we all see it. But what happens more than half the time?

Dak misses them for big plays. So instead of jumping out to a huge lead, we let teams hang around, scoring FGs with a shaky kicker.

Our D puts the clamps down on other teams, but when our O, mainly Dak gets to dicking around for most of the game, they are bound to break a little. Then like the *******s many of us are, we get mad at the D.

It would be disappointing to have this team and not win it all because of Dak and his inability to consistently burn teams.

With Romo we'd def win. Even Stafford or Carr would get the job done. I don't believe in Daks ability to throw
How many haters are going to post the same crap?

There are many different things that can happen. Ultimately, the team will have to make more plays than their opponent that day in order to score more points. I'm sure some things will go right and some will go wrong, like with every game.

Who knows? Dak may play fantastic and Zeke may fumble 3 times, or the defense may give up 40 points. Trying to predict our demise right now is fruitless. Then we can say we were a championship team with the exception of RB or defense like we did from 2006 on.

That is hypothetical and of course in your hypothetical Romo wins is all but that is not reality.

Much like your user name Frozen "Let it go"

Yeah, they are all hypotheticals because a QB can play a great game and not win or can play a so-so game and win. All it took against the Packers in '14 was a fumble and a bad call and we lost. Everything has to fall into place and nothing is a given. NE's best regular season year, they lost in the Super Bowl.

I think if we can arrange for Sidney Jones to play opposite Cooper throughout the playoffs, we have a shot.

Has there ever been such repeated arguments over a QB when a team is in a playoff position?
On here/any other team forum?

I am fine with Dak and believe he can get us where we want to go... That said, Tony Romo says hello...

Notice the similarity? Cowboys fans... we would've run Aikman out of town after his 114 yard, 63 rating, 38-6 playoff loss to the Lions in 1991 if the forum was here.

RB should scare you. Zeke had been playing hurt for a few weeks now.

Dak is balling.
