Current list of all QB salaries and Dak *The $25 Million Worth Merge*

They said that about Dez and look what happened. Fans tend to over value their own players due to familiarity. If Dak left the Cowboys, he'll get a few offers....but they wont be franchise QB money and he likely wouldnt be signed as a long term starter.

Dak would & will get franchise QB $.... It's the nature if the position. You're acting like teams overpaid-which they didn't! It's the price teams are willing to pay at that position

you can pay $500,000 for a Corvette but it still just a Corvette not a Lamborghini

Honestly I'm not worried about the Cowboys cap. They'll strike a deal with Dak that pays him well but includes some protection for them if things don't work out. Dak deserves a decent contract, not elite but decent, and I doubt he's going to try and break the bank.

Wilson deserves more than guys like Carr, Cousins, Flacco, Garropolo.
Wilson's contract is the oldest of everyone in the top 10, that's why it seems low (his deal is almost 4 years old, he was the 2nd highest paid QB barely behind Rodgers when he signed it).

Salary cap will of gone up more than 50 million by the time his current deal expires so he'll easily be over 30 million next deal

Hopefully Dak keeps his agent out of The liquor cabinet before negotiations

It would seem this guy is just a TROLL..

Typically, trolls don't use facts to make their points

That's why I keep saying that they'll give Dak $25m over 5 years and it will be a middle of the pack salary in the middle of his contract.

Of course, we'll have two Lombardis by then.....

Not even sure why we're discussing this. Who was the last player we cut loose for salary cap reasons that went on to perform at a regrettable (for the Cowboys) level? DeMarcus Ware? There may be another one or two, so please jump in.

The point being that we've not been hamstrung by the cap in a major way for years. I think we learned our lesson. Maybe. I hope. Probably.

Is it really that crazy to say that Dak belongs in the Tannehill, Bortles, Keenum range?

Good for you, im glad you like to overpay average quarterbacks I guess

Im not signing a QB ranked 25th 20 mill a year.....matter of fact i wouldnt sign him at all, i would get a better quarterback

You're not a GM, you're an armchair GM. Get over yourself.

Personally I would cut Dak and get a 5 million QB with the same production

That might be one of the the dumbest suggestions I’ve seen on this board. Even if you don’t want Dak here long term why would you cut him instead of just letting him play out the last year of his contract? His base salary next year is $720,000, and your suggestion is to cut him and pay someone else $5,000,000 for the same production?

Dude is totally trolling this thread. There's not an analyst/GM/coach/player that takes Beathard, McCarron, or McCoy over Dak and a reasonable contract.

This is the same kind of guy that sees the 2 point conversion to the wide open receiver last night and truly believes he could've made that pass.

You have 20 posts and I'm trolling huh..lol...im sure you have multiple banned accounts

Dak just isnt very good, that's not my fault

Well revisit this thread when we hand Dak a 100 million dollar contract and he crashes and burns like Kirk Cousins

Don't worry worry Dak fans, I'm 99% certain Jerry will do it

This dude ready said Colt McCoy and some other scrubs who haven't even played 15 career games. Are you kidding me?

It's sad how people make a decision about someone and let the hate just drive them. Has Dak made me mad with his play at times? Sure, but you take the good with the bad. If this were a Saints board would everyone give up on Drew Brees because he only scored 10 points against the Cowboys defense? Or Rams with Goff throwing 4 interceptions last week, Trubisky 3. Rivers saved the day yesterday against the Chiefs but he threw 2 interceptions in the first half, it was very similar to Dak's turnovers in the first half but playing great in the 4th quarter and overtime. Every QB has good and bad unless you're talking Brady who makes mistakes but does way more good than bad. Even Rodgers hasn't been able to lead his teams to win this year.

It’s one thing to be worried about the cowboys paying Dak a big contract. I get it, I really do.

But saying the cowboys could sign guys like Beathard and Colt McCoy instead? That’s crazy talk man. Dak is way better than both of them.

If you want to get rid of Dak that’s fine. But the team needs more realistic alternatives than those guys.

He’s ranked 22 in qbr so why pay him like he’s a top 5, or 10 or even 15? http://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

His paltry numbers don’t support the case for big money.

Wintson and Trubrisky are better than Wentz and therefore should be paid more than Wentz according to this list.

Dak is better than Carr and Stafford, according to this list. So much for those who believe that the Cowboys will be Superbowl bound with Carr or Stafford then.
