Current list of all QB salaries and Dak *The $25 Million Worth Merge*

Lol! Again nobody is going to pay Dak $20M+ if he this the open market.
  • Arizona and Buffalo drafted QB that showed a lot of promise, why would they pay Dak $25M?
  • TB looked decent with FitzMagic and will probably resign him.
  • Why pay Dak $25M when they just signed Cousins?
  • Oakland has Carr locked up for a minute, not gonna pay another QB
  • Commanders are committed to draft a 1st round QB this year
  • Lol, imagine Dak behind the Giants O-line. I bet the NYG front office is thinking the same thing
  • I already addressed Miami
  • Pitt is all about the long ball, not gonna pay Dak to throw 5 yards passes. He also sucks playing in the cold
  • Baltimore just invested a 1st round pick on a QB, besides they just overpaid Flacco
  • Dak is not better than Andy Dalton
  • Den just overpaid for Keenum not gonna overpay for Dak
At least you had the guts to put your 'thoughts' on paper

FitzMagic makes you lose ALL credibility ....we are done with that alone
Cousins and Carr stink
Skins got no one but a broken ASmith and there aren't any college QBs better than Dak... same for Giants
Dak would fit perfect in PIT and BAL and they would be lucky to have him,,,,, Big Ben is retiring
Andy Dalton see Fitzpatrick......lol
Keenum see Cousins and Carr

AND who is DAL's QB under your master plan? ask your fan @eastsideboy for some ideas

For Dak's career he is 62 TDs to 24 Ints. That's a 2.58 TD/Int ratio which is excellent. There's really nothing anyone can complain about that unless they don't know football. The fumbles are an issue no excuses for those, but I believe they can be cleaned up.

For reference Dak's TD/Int is slightly better than Wentz 70/28 which is 2.5.

Since the OP mentioned some other QBs let's compare them

Colt McCoy 29/26 1.15 TD/Int ratio
CJ Beathard 12/13 0.92 TD/Int ratio

The only one that's better but has played very little is
AJ McCarron 6/2 3.0 TD/Int ratio

But it's not a big enough sample size he's barely played. Multiple teams have seen him in practice every day and he's still a backup there's a reason for that.

Dak would & will get franchise QB $.... It's the nature if the position. You're acting like teams overpaid-which they didn't! It's the price teams are willing to pay at that position

If his Agent does a good job he might sting some team for a load of cash. However, things havent worked out for most of the mediocre QBs signed in recent times - they havent improved their teams e.g. Vikings, Broncos, Skins, Jax. The usual vets who are elite QBs and younger QBs taken in the 1st round are the QBs improving their teams.

GMs learn. If they dont, they get fired (except ours). Its now clear that overpaying a mediocre FA QB "because good QBs are scarce" is not the way to win in this league. GMs will start moving away from this strategy as there seems to be very little difference in terms of production between a 3-5m per year Jag interim starter and a 20m per year mediocre FA QB starter. So if you dont/cant draft a 1st rounder, the best strategy is the 3-5m guy with the saved money used to strenghten the team in other positions.

After looking at these QB salary numbers, and if the Cowboys win at least the 1st playoff game, Dak is going to get "at least" $23 mil/season and possibly up to $25 mil/season. That's going to be his range: $23 - $25 million/season.

He has done a lot more than Jimmy G. I’m just going to assume the Cowboys are making the playoffs and with double digit wins so that is twice in 3 years and the 3rd year he had 9 wins with his star RB missing 6 games and his LT went down. Say what you want about Dak but his win percentage is good and I don’t see him taking less than 20 when a guy like Jimmy G is making over 27.

25M is sounding more and more likely the longer we wait
Agreed. I would not doubt behind closed doors there has been an attempt to talk a new contract, but if so, I would not doubt if Dak's new agent is delaying talks until after the playoffs in order to increase Dak's value.

Can't blame the agent (or Dak), but $25 mil/season is going to affect the cap more than say $17 - $20 million would in terms of keeping other key weapons.

Guess many don't remember Stephen and Jerry saying they've ALREADY planned the budget for Dak's next contract. As Stephen put it, Dak will get what he deserves. What's interesting is Jerry and Stephen are not hiding their excitement about getting his deal done. Hell, I've even read where a couple national media guys have suggested they shut up or pump the brakes a bit.

Bottom line .......Dak is going to be the face of this team for a long time or without his critics.

All QBs have “almost” interceptions. I don’t mind adding them for Dak, but can we at least add them for all other QBs too so we can get a good comparison?
Sure, Blake Bortles has a ton of interceptions and almost INTs. The pendulum swings both ways. It's not about adding them as taking them into account to get a true picture. Last season he more than doubled his turnovers. He's been losing quite a few fumbles this year. You can't have an honest discussion about Dak on the forums. He's not top 10 but he's somewhere in the middle. He had a big game.

But you can’t have an honest discussion unless we know how many almost interceptions every QB has.
