so Aikman and Stauback were shut out?

You can spot a silly Dak hater from a mile away by the way they keep harping on the shutout.

Totally Dak’s fault that the FG was blocked and Olawale dropped a bunny in the endzone!!!
It's not just Dak, this fan base can hate on anything. Wear your cap backwards. How dare the face of the franchise do such an uncouth thing. Raise money for cancer. He's just doing it for PR and a tax break. Play golf or fish in the off season. He should be studying tape not taking a day off slacking HOF TE retires. He sucked anyway, glad he's gone.

Easy to blame the scoreless day on one player but there were many guys who contributed. First off, it was a very unusual game. Dallas only had 7 offensive possessions the whole game so you have to make the most of EVERY scoring opportunity. Here are the 7 drives:

1st Drive: Maher gets a 48 yard FG blocked. Should have had 3 points. Dak doesn't kick FGs or block for FGs.
2nd Drive: Olawale drops a 3 yard TD pass. I think the catch was so easy he just lost concentration. Dak can't catch the ball for him. On 4th down and 1 at the 3 yard line we lose 2 yards running the ball with Zeke. Again, Dak doesn't block on running plays. 7 points thrown away by Olawale
3rd drive: Interior OLine gives up a quick 10 yard sack with Dallas sitting at the Indy 37 yard line. Dak should have thrown the ball away so we could have had a shot at a 55 yard FG. Instead we have to punt. Potential/but unlikely 3 points lost due to Dak.
4th drive: 4th and 2 at the Indy 41 yard line. Dak completes a 18 yard pass to Beasley to the Indy 23 yard line. Penalty by Looney for holding. It is 4th and 12 so we have to punt. Looney costs us at least 3 points on that drive.

After Indy' next drive we are down 20-0 and it is late in the game so these drives are pure desperation. We could have kicked FGs in some instance to keep from being shut out but we did the right thing and tried to get TDs because we were so far behind with very few drives left because Indy was killing the clock with their running game and short passing game.

5th drive: 4th and 1 at the Indy 39. Dak throws a pass to Beasley that is knocked down by Leonard. Dak possibly could have gone somewhere else with the ball. Dak may have lost us potential points.
6th drive: 1st and 10 at the Indy 46 yard line. Dak completes a 4 yard pass to Cooper for a 2nd and 6 at the 42. Play called back due to a Looney penalty. 2nd at 6 goes to 1st and 20 on Looney's penalty. Drive is killed by penalty.
7th drive: 4th and 12 at Indy 26. Dak throws a terrible interception. They are down 23 points. Play or drive does not really matter. In fact, Garrett should have had all starters on the bench.

Adds true legitimacy to your list to have Drew Henson in there...LMAO!

List of Cowboy QBs who were NOT the guy who allowed a blocked FG and 200 yards rushing by the Colts on Sunday:

Dak Prescott
That’s the guy who holds onto the ball and brings absolutely nothing to the table offensively though

Brings nothing to the table?

Man, put the crack pipe down. You can do so much more with your life! McDonald's is always hiring.

this is bad stat and a who cares moment ,

if the coach wanted to simply not be shutout he would have kicked FG from the 1 instead of going for it.. that would have shut you all up or brought up a 3 point QBs SMH let it be its over Andrew luck was Shut out 6-0 two weeks ago and came here and beat us and the Texans..it woldnt have mattered if we scored 0-22 we would have lost..anyway and be in the same postion just with less whiners because of the score..

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

Aikman went 1-15, 7-9, 11-5 in his first three. Nobody was talking about him going to the HOF back then.

Where is Aikman, Staubach, White, Morton, dandy Don?

I know they explained the since 2003 part, but 3 of the 5 you mentioned were starting QB's who were shut out (and another played in a game we were shut out in)

1970 - Morton: 0-38 vs. Cardinals (Staubach also played in this game)
1985 - White: 0-44 vs. Bears (Hogeboom also played this game)
1989 - Aikman: 0-28 vs. Saints
1989 - Aikman: 0-27 vs. Eagles (Walsh also played in this game)
1989 - Aikman: 0-15 vs. Giants
1991 - Aikman: 0-24 vs. Eagles
2000 - Aikman: 0-27 vs. Ravens
2000 - Anthony Wright: 0-31 vs. Titans
2003 - Carter: 0-16 vs. Buccaneers
2003 - Carter: 0-12 vs. Patriots
2018 - Prescott: 0-23 vs. Colts

God that Bears game still brings back bad memories (not that they all don't, but that one in particular) - we also got shut out by the Rams that year in the playoffs to end the season.

Aikman...5 times in 171 games (mostly year 1)
Staubach...1 time in 151 games
White...2 times in 184 games
Romo...0 times in 133 games
Morton....5 times in 218 games

Staubach and Morton both played in the 1970 shutout, Morton started that game. Staubach came in relief and went 2-8 for 61 yards and a pick. That was the only shutout he was a part of.

Thanks
Pretty amazing.

Btw, I looked that game up and Morton’s performance has to rank as one ofthe worst performaces in Cowboy QB history.
Morton had 0 TDs, 3 ints, was 8-26 passing and...get this...a 6.7 QB rating:omg:
Then again Joe Flacco once had a playoff game almostthat bad...and his team won.
A great example of why QB playoff wins is a really dumb artificial stat
