Imo the Cowboys should dump this clown. Aside from alot of chatter and hype in TC, our WR's have not benefitted from him, Beasley has gotten worse, and Cooper basically brought along his suitcase full of "do it yourself" route running skills along from Oakland.

He should be added to the list along with Garrett, linehan, and Kellen Moore of who needs to go.

What is he supposed to do?

Our scheme just tells our players to execute better.

Amari Cooper can run the best routes in the world but at some point when do we shift blame to opposing defenders knowing our play based on their coverage.

On the game winning play against Philadelphia Cooper faked running by the defender and the defender didn't even bite on it. He set exactly where the film told him Cooper would go and that was the slant and sure enough he jumped the route and tipped it in the air and luckily Cooper snagged it and scored.

Dallas has an offensive tendency problem. Blaming the position coaches needs to stop.

I don't see that Beasley has gotten worse, and in fact, prior to the Cooper trade he was on pace for numbers about the same as his best season (2016). The issue seems to be more that Beasley has been de-emphasized since Cooper arrived, either because of the game planning or Dak looking elsewhere. Both Cooper and Gallup have cut into Beasley's targets the 2nd half of the season. The TE's have as well, with the TE's getting a much larger share of the targets the last few games than they have most of the season.

If Sanjay Lal made TWill disappear, Sammy Watkins sign in KC, Hurns do nothing against double coverage, Noah Brown get hurt and the TEs contribute nothing for 2/3rds of the season then he absolutely should be fired.

But after careful consideration, I don't think that was on him.

We have a pretty good idea of what Cooper thinks of the play calling and offensive scheme. Has he said anything publicly at all about Lal?

I think Sanjay has done a decent job, way better than his clown predecessor.

He had one week to integrate Amari into this offense and has done a nice job in helping in the development of Gallup. Allen Hurns is hot garbage and defensive coordinators have broken Cole Beasley. What's he supposed to do?

Gallup has progressed like a rookie with a good coach should. Beasley has been battling injuries for the majority of the year.

This is my question..

If the defense knows if they are in cover 2, cover 3, or whatever and Dallas uses the same cover 2 and cover 3 beaters out of the formation they come out in then how much coaching does it take for a WR to get open when the defender has a great idea of the play we are about to run?

Our problem is tendencies and our coaches answer is that the playcall doesn't matter if you execute it good enough.

I think you get by with this in highschool and college football but in the pro's being this predictable is a problem.

Dallas counter for their predictability in the pass was imposing their will on the ground or Romo breaking the pocket and making a play outside of the play.

WE can still run but it's nothing like 2014 and 2016. Dak is also refusing to use his legs so he runs the play as its designed and if he's not taking the checkdown there is a good chance he is taking the sack.

Amari was fully integrated into the offense by the second week, that is actually an impressive feat for a coach. Fans take it for granted but apparently Sanjay was a plane to the Bay Area when the trade was annouced and worked with Amari day and night.

Many on the O side of the ball needs to go.
We all know Garrett needs to go, all many do. But even if he stays, which I am sure he will.

Linehan and Moore needs to go for sure. Lal, not sure if it is all him, but if a new OC comes in, let him bring in his own WR coach. Same for RB coach. Brown was almost out the door, but they kept him. I would not be happy nor upset if they stay or go at this point. Nussmeier in his 1st year at TE's coach, and Witten leaving. I would give him another year. Keep Colombo as OL coach. As he is doing great with what he has and the injuries.

On D, rod needs to retire. Make Richard the DC / AHC. Keep all as is, but bring in a true DE coach. As if Rod retires they will need one anyway.

He was not going to be a difference maker. When the defense knows what routes are coming, it doesn't matter. It's the same issue, players have to be able to get open on their own, not because of the scheme. We don't keep defenses off balance or guessing, they already know where to be.

They can't throw the ball to themselves.

I love the thought process here. "Amari Cooper joins the team and immediately looks like a Pro Bowler. So clearly, someone in the food chain sucks".

No, that's just how terrible our offense is.

Josh Gordon was, what, a week longer than that in NE?

Lal is fine. The only barometer to measure him on is Gallup, and he's developing fine. He wasn't going to be able to teach Cooper or Beasley anything because as route runners, they were basically already perfect.
