The Dallas Cowboys seem to have averted major disaster along the offensive line. This past Sunday, right guard Zack Martin missed his first career game, after suffering another knee injury during the prior week’s win over Philadelphia.

Then, during the second quarter against the Colts, left guard Xavier Su’a-Filo was knocked out after getting poked in the eye so severely, he had to be taken to the hospital. With center Travis Frederick out all season, left tackle Tyron Smith sporting an elbow brace, rookie Connor Williams struggling and journeyman Adam Redmond now getting snaps, the offensive line was in shambles.

It certainly impacted last week’s game and threatened to impact the team’s quest to lock up a playoff berth on their own volition. But things got remarkably better on Thursday, when both Martin and Su’a-Filo returned to the first unit in practice.

I just hope Maartin is not taking a risk pushing off that knee. Against Philly it looked l like he couldn't plant or drive. Hopefully the week of rest helped him get better than he was before the Eagles game.

Dak supporters hyping up the "oline issues" to disguise how much of a egg Dak laid in that game...

Dak has some sacks that are on him but you don't go from 25 his rookie season to 51 in year 3 because it is all on him. You have 3 All pros 1 out for the season, 2 playing hurt and not to the level they have in the past and fact is Dak numbers passing yards is on pace to surpass his rookie season and Dallas is on the edge of winning the East 2 out of the last 3 years. Oline is an issue you don't just replace all pros and expect not to have issues

Tyron smith on his worst days is better than more than half of starting tackles right now.
Suafilo is probably lower middle of the pack in terms of starting guard quality
Looney has been a pleasant surprise and been above middle of the pack
Martin even with injuries is better than more than 3 quarters of the NFLs guards
Collins is above average and starts on almost all NFL teams

That offensive line isnt enough? I know Fred is out but cmon man

That's all they got. Evidently, if the OL is not the great wall of China and a Defender gets within 5 yards of Dak, he is not responsible to play the QB position any longer and it all falls at the feed of the OL.

Oline is not as good right now because of injuries yet this team is still winning, Dak passing yards are already better than last year and is on pace to throw for more yards than his rookie season. I think given the situation of the OL between Frederick being out for the year, Tyron playing injured with back issues and elbow issues along with Martin playing on a sprained MCL that this line is not up to the standards they were in 2016. As for Dak he has to realize he can't put as much faith in the Oline protecting as they did in 2016 and he has to help out in terms of speeding the clock up in his head knowing pressure is coming and either be quicker about stepping up when he can or getting out of the pocket a click sooner. Acting as if this Oline is playing exceptional they are not, these backups have done a good job but they are not to the level as we saw before. I make no excuses for Dak some of it is on him but a lot is also on our pass blocking.

Not at all but some of these overboard comments are pathetic, hell lets pay these backup all pro money as well since you can't seem to tell the difference. there is a big difference, Martin seldom every gets pushed back but on that MCL injury I see him getting moved off the line, Collins has not done a very good job on the outside. In terms of run blocking they have done a good job with a RB who knows how to set up his blocks and see day light but on pass blocking this unit has not been that great.
