Zeke watch - The rushing title is in the bag

Ive said this all year and somehow people said he sucked was fat and slow
Yeah... the "he doesn't make 80 yard runs!" crowd... bunch of clowns.

Leads in the league in 20+ yard rushes. He's a champ. A king.

Check this out. Zeke made Todd Gurley quit. He got tired of chasing him so he no showed the game today.

I'm not surprised. He never had the cranium to get this done.

All hail Ezekiel Elijah Elliott. The Rushing King.

Zeke 1,434
(I'm a wittle) Gurley 1,251
Barkley 1,198

Understand this, if the NFL Commissioner was a man, Zeke would have started his career with three rushing titles his first three years in the league. His numbers with those games missed and the removal of the distraction of the suspension last year would put him at or near the most productive RB in the history of the NFL 3 years into his career.

Sure, he's had a good to great line those three years but he's also played with a God awful QB and no passing game. You play Dallas, you sell out to stop Zeke. He carries the load every week starting week 1 of his rookie year. There is no burden lifted off of him ever.

Special player. He's easily one of the greatest players to ever wear that uniform.

He is one of the guys that shows up every week. Imagine if he had a real QB?

There are plenty of people that use his total yardage as an argument for being the best back in the league. Regardless, I respectfully disagree. I think Barkley is the most complete back but we can agree to disagree. Congrats to Zeke for having the most rushing yards...I just think it’s a dumb statistic and most people who use it to argue that he’s the best back constantly leave out the other more relevant facts.

Barkley has 8 games with less than 50 yards.
8 games.
Zeke easily has him in yards after contact.
He isn't any better of a receiver.
Seems like the only stat you are cherry picking is yards per carry...

It’s actually pretty sad that the MVP voting is so slanted towards QB’s.

Because Zeke deserves an MVP award as much as anyone.

I agree but he didn’t score enough to be considered.

Gurley had a better season because of the offense he played in.

Less rushing yards but he found paydirt more times because he played in a better offense.

Zeke would have had the rushing title in his rookie season, but Garrett made the decision to rest him. He might do so again this year.

Who knows how long Zeke’s career will last, but in terms of productivity through their first three seasons, Smith and Zeke are pretty comparable.

It will not last as long as Smith’s. Again, just don’t even compare. It’s not close and it will take him about another 7-8 years of TOP 3 like play to even get remotely close to what Smith did on the field

Don’t insult a legend by mentioning Zeke alongside him. Have some damn respect

Smith in his first 3 seasons had GOAT-like plays that Zeke has not even come close to. Nothing Zeke has done yet will be remembered within highlights.

Show me a play that should wow us that you don’t see from multiple other RBs in a season?

In 2017.....and 2018. Sustained excellence. Something Zeke displays. Take your L like a man or nah?

> sustained excellence

You going to show me the plays that will go down im history or no?

Again, what Smith was doing from 91-95 are considered legenderary running.

Zeke is not there and you are ignoring the overall point anyways - the NFL is not built for the backs of RBs any longer.

Rushing title means nothing. And this “MVP RB” can’t get TDs and was part of us putting up 0 points just two weeks ago in an era where the league built the game around high scoring offenses.

Zeke is talented but he is not Smith and will never be Smith or any other legendary back. That’s just a fact.

I see a whole bunch of nothingthat I’m not reading. I gave you a simple question. We’re done here. David Johnson lmao

Again, no mention that he leads the league in fumbles, averages less ypc than Gurley or Barkley, averages ~5 more carries per game than Barkley which means Barkley would be beating Zeke by over 100 yards if he got as many carries and he also runs behind a much worse O line.

But yeah, Zeke has more yards so that means he’s the best...unless he didn’t have the most yards, ran behind an O line as bad as the Giants and didnt have as many carries then he would still be the best but it would be the O lines fault and the coaches fault for not giving him the ball enough
Our OL pretty much blows. Zeke is not running behind a good line. Zeke has a journeyman QB and an OC, yet Zeke keeps on dominating. Go figure.

we are built for the playoffs as long as Dak shows some accuracy and gets rid of the ball.

Zeke wants that 1,500 yard mark as much as I do,and me and him are taking that league title with it,whether or not teams, coaches, and fans like it. I said it last week, and it is so,and so it shall be again. He’s playing, and that’s that.

I'm with you on that one.

You’re saying that, as if running backs don’t play a huge part in teams scoring. And with the current NFL rules it’s easier for QB’s to pass the ball then ever.

Not at all. I'm saying raw productivity matters and QBs are inherently more productive than any other position because it's a passing league. RBs play a part in a team's output just as every other position does, but QBs play the biggest part.
