How is this Cowboys roster Super Bowl caliber?

All they have is Zeke and Amari as offensive weapons and a top 10 defense. Cowboys have 1 of the worst O-lines, only 1 receiving threat, and a great non battle tested defense.

Okay, so maybe we're not expected to do much this postseason. Why not just enjoy the ride and see what we do? If we go 1 and done, okay, that was probably expected. If we win playoff games, then great. If we make it to the Super Bowl, then amazing! If we win it, well, let's just enjoy the ride haha.

We were 3-5 at one point. All things considered, this is pretty awesome that a Superbowl is even a possibility.

I know, I know...we're America's team and should get to the Superbowl every year. The funny part is, I feel like this is the most down on the team fans have felt. Mainly because of the quarterback. I would love it if they shocked the world like Dak said prior to the season.
With Jason Garrett coaching, I expect the worst but hope for the best. :muttley:

In fact, considering that nobody is expecting anything from us, I'd like for us to play with a bit of reckless abandon. Take more chances than people would expect from us and go all out. What have we to lose?

............Let me present to you, the 2011 Super Bowl champion New York Giants:

  • 25th-ranked scoring offense
  • 25th-ranked scoring defense (worst of any Super Bowl champion)
  • 29th-ranked passing defense
  • 26th-ranked defense in drive average allowed
  • 32nd-ranked rushing offense (worst in NFL)
  • Allowed 49 points in a blowout loss to Saints
  • Worst win-loss record among NFC playoff teams that year (only finished 9-7)
  • Negative point differential (scored 394 points, allowed 400; worst of any Super Bowl team ever)

A HUGE xmas shame to you!!!
Our Offline is NOT one of the worst off lines in the league in fact id Consider them top 10 having the leagues # 1 rusher (Zeke) ...now as far as the sacks are concerned its mostly Trash-Dak who is either panic mode back there or holding the ball forever..you Dak-Zoids will not miss a chance to excuse the TRASH QB you support....and Amari is worthless when TRASH Dak cant see past 5 yards down the field...

The most talented, most well coached, most flawless team does not always win the Super Bowl.

True, but that team has at least played in the game 9 out of the last 21 games. Who wouldn't take that over the mediocre clapping monkey imitating a HC in Dallas?

Oh, thats right, some fans think his regular season record trumps anything the Pats have done.

How many postseasons do we we have to hope something good may happen?
It would be nice to be the favorites once a decade...

As someone who has never seen this team play beyond the divisional round, I understand fully what you are saying. However, I'm not going to worry about the future for now. I'm going to just try to enjoy the playoffs as best as I can. It's how I've gotten this far.

The current version of the Cowboys is a team largely composed of youngsters who are somewhat in their infancy in terms of their development. They will likely get and deserve whatever fate that the playoffs have in store for them, whether it's one-and-done or something more. Their needs on offense should hopefully be resolved in the draft and free agency next year. With luck, it might afford them an even better team next year. Let's hope so, anyway.

Once you get to the playoffs anything can happen. See Giants times two.
Mehhhh that was a totally different story! The Giants had pedigree at the QB position. Eli played lights out on the road he had 8 TDs and 1 int. The Giants defensive was great but Eli still had to make big plays.
If Dallas is going to go anywhere in the playoffs they will need a passing game and a creative play calling.
