Isn’t it great

I wonder how many people will read that and agree with it. Because he is right and it's probably not a very popular opinion.

Ronald McCowboy wants to hold a pep rally for our front office because he spotted a trade they made that finally didn't suck but what happens 10 years down the road if you look back and can't deny Prescott was terrible and these guys, rather than realize it when they should and prioritize a change at the position, decided to invest a 1st round pick on a weapon that is sure to be underutilized because of the QB?

Still going to be like "man, they nailed that!"?
Like you nailed Wentz?

And then trading 2nd round picks for Terrence Flagler and Daniel Stubbs. I'm too lazy to look up who Dallas could have drafted with those picks.

OK, I'm not lazy, but it would keep me up at night.
Stubbs I can sort of understand. He was a decent player. Flagler? Blech.

Tom as in Landry? It is kind of funny because many fans were wanting Landry to be fired before Jerry ever bought the team. They claimed the game had passed him by yet when it did happen many of the same turned on Jerry.

Can you imagine if 1989 was the age of twitter, boards and social media. It would have been an all out Tom versus JJ war. As it was I don't remember there being a huge war except maybe in Texas and I think it was called Alamo part 2. I do remember that Tom had started to forget players names but that may have been Landry, he was kind of aloof

I was always a big Landry fan, I grew up watching Tom on the sideline for the most part he was the Dallas Cowboys in my eyes. In the mid 80's many draft choices were failing and Cowboys were not winning and fans were hollering for Tom to be fired. Jerry comes in and fires Tom and Jerry was crucified for it. Myself as I mentioned always blamed Bum Bright who was selling the team because the franchise was losing money and could told Landry I'm selling the team and the new owner is bringing in his own HC

Really smart fans would dig deeper than 5-2 (and it's actually 6-2) with Cooper.

1-2 vs teams 9-6 or better. The Cowboys scored a total of 27 points in those 3 games - 9 points per game.

5-0 vs teams 8-7 or worse. The Cowboys scored 136 points in those games - 27 points per game.

Hmmm...how many .500 teams do you expect to play in January?

Me thinks you should remember back to the beginning of the season when all were 0-0 and quite a few of the teams we were about to play (Jags, Eagles for example) were seen as teams who were serious contenders OR SB Champs in 2017. How soon we forget! My prediction to start 2018 was 10-6 or 9-7 despite the teams we were about to play. What was yours?

Mine was NFC East divisional winner.

Isn’t it great that after a 3-5 start Jerry went out and did something about the anemic WR corps? It took big juevos to go out and give up a #1 pick for a player of great need. 90% of this board complained about the pick. Now those same posters are totally silent about it. Not only did Cooper turn around this offense but he has also give the team a big shot of energy and more importantly confidence. Kudos to Jerry, Stephen, Garrett and McClay for having the guts to make the trade.
Yes.

All of the above.

Mostly what I like is his demeanor.

Very non-plissé and matter of fact.

He thinks about his answers before answering.

He is clear and answers his questioner.

Cool under pressure such as him and DAK changing the 75 yd TD play.

Refreshing for an obvious team leader for us.

Yep had mucho respect and admiration for Mr Landry as a HC and changer of the game. deeply private and spiritual man. The man with "the hat" and stoic face that never changed on the sidelines

Very non-plissé? Very unlike puckered or crinkled cotton? I suppose I can agree with that.
I think my spell checker did that..

took a trip to France.

Only my Alexa can do that better.

Try non-plus..

Better..?

Par le vois a humma humma?

:lmao:

Just kidding.

We don't yet know when we'll pick next year. We don't know what our priority will be. We don't know if the player we want will be on the board when we pick. Get off the porcelain. Hit the flush valve. Keep the methane moving. Go outside for a breath of fresh air.

It was still a bad move. Cooper will want mad money soon. He will cost a lot to keep. We can't pay him and all the other players we need to sign. It's only good if we win the Super Bowl, and I don't think that will happen.
