I think Dak has shown some improvement but the last chapter of this season has yet to be written. If Dak plays decent against Seattle thats a plus. If he plays good and gets a win thats a new contract. If Dak plays one of those 160 yard games 10 point games I guarantee you Jerry is letting him play out his contract!

I've been down on Dak this entire season, I've said he can't throw the ball, his internal clock is ruined, his footwork was terrible etc.

But I'll tell you what. The kid is a warrior and clutch as it gets. He has a nice arm when he has a clear mind and let's it rip.

Threw 3 or 4 dimes yesterday. He threw a few in his rookie year and some last year before the Atlanta game. He generally makes good decisions and is super rugged- meaning he will be available most Sundays.

The ability IS there. The competitiveness is a given.

Credit the FO for upgrading weapons and recognizing talent that can make plays like Beasley. Gallup is a matter of time before he is hyper dangerous- he has all the tools. Jarwin looks like he has some Ertz or Kelce in him given time.

I'm moving toward giving Dak the reins if he doesn't ask for the moon. Yesterday proved he can carry a team here and again missing seriously quality pieces.

The kid wins. Bottom line.

If you want to see development in Dak, not only can you look at this two halves of this season but look at games without Zeke.

Last year we had that 3 game losing streak without Smith and Zeke.

This year a NY team desperate to get a moral victory played us without Smith, Martin, Frederick, or Zeke. Dak won with 4 TDs and almost 400 yards.
kinda funny how they win and it's Dak won, loose and it's everyone else's fault, all of a sudden not a word about bad coaching or WR's TE's or OL. Loose and every one suck but Dak , it gets really old, Dak plays well against teams with loosing records and does have some good games, but as much as I enjoyed the game yesterday Dak's poor passing is going to cost this team, how many can over look his weaknesses is beyond me. yes QB's miss passes but Dak does it as frequently as he throws good passes and that is a big problem, the TD to Beasley was a great catch but a poor throw.

Hold on a second...I read many forum posters and they say Dak sucks. Did he stop sucking because I thought sucking was a permanent condition?

I am happy for the guy. I am a big believer and supporter of Dak. The haters never seemed to factor in the terrible o line play, young receivers, and awful game planning and playcalling of Linehan. That stuff had a big negative impact. Dak has the qualities you can’t learn plus he is tough and talented. He needs to work on being more accurate, getting his feet set, and going through his progressions quicker. Better line play and a better OC will go a long way towards helping that. Plus K Moore as a QB coach is just idiotic. Maybe 5 years from now but Dak needs a veteran coach that can actually help today. That he has overcome the stupidity around him is a testament to the quality and character of the man.

I hope the haters back off the guy.
Me to but its not likely

Whats going to cost this team is undisciplined play and foolish penalties like the one Woods incurred that almost cost us the game.
Also kind of funny how when every other QB in the league heaves one out there and gives his receiver a chance to make a great play . THEY ARE GOD and threw them open Dak dose it and its a bad desperation throw .

You fake fans and butt hurt Romo worshipers are a pathetic excuse for Cowboy fans go follow another team or watch old tape of your heros in the last couple games of the season when we had a chance to make the post season and failed with the greatest passers of all time LOLOL. 2008, 2011,2012, 2013.

Dak Prescott's 2018 season was really a tale of two seasons. His first half numbers underwhelmed, in large part to have nothing to work with but a bunch of jags and unseasoned young guys. Now that we are at the end of the regular season, his numbers are very good.

BOLD = career high

356 completions
526 attempts.
67.7%(67.8 rookie year) completion percentage.
3,885 yards
242 ypg
7,4 ypa
22 tds
8 ints
96.9 rating

Rushing

75 attempts
305 yards
4.1 ypc
6 tds (ties first two years)

These numbers rival his rookie season and he did it with a patchwork offensive line and a bunch of young guys at TE and WR. We saw the growng pains early in the season and they have all come along as the season progressed. We should have something really good to build off of for next year.
I'll add that coaching changes took a bit to adjust to.

I don't have to say a word. The while section shakes their heads and complains about Dak all game because Dallas rarely scores touchdowns.
Seems like a great time. Money well spent.

It was a desperation heave off target that Beasley adjusted to.
Lmao. You can't say anything positive. First, Prescott should have been sacked but avoided it and on the run tossed a good pass. That wasn't the route. After the play broke done he anticipated beasely breaking.

It wasn't a perfect pass as much as it was a great catch, but still a very good improvisation.
