It was another slow start for Dak. He was indecisive and missed some throws. But something clicked for him in the first half. Not sure it was the 1st TD to Jarwin, his bud, or before that. But he was a different QB than we’ve seen basically the whole year. I think this win is going to go down as a turning point for the Cowboys. It was an amazing show of leadership and determination not only by Dak, but the whole team. Football teams feed off their QB and Dak showed yesterday that he’s got this. Amazing game and the team will probably point back to yesterday as a turning point for the franchise.

They featured the pass more with only a few token runs, which probably allowed Dak as a passer to get into a rhythm and get comfortable with the pass coverages he was seeing. Beasley alluded to this point last week when discussing why Dak's passing is inconsistent at times in a run-heavy offense. Obviously with Zeke sitting out, this is not an approach that will be the norm. While encouraging, It also didn't hurt that it was a mediocre NYG pass D. A great performance though.

Cant speak for anyone else but myself so Ill just say this........ Im no Dak hater.... but Im no Dak lover either. I support the kid as he is our QB. We could do a lot worse then him,... but the truth is we could also do a lot better than him as well. People REALLY need to stop with the extremes. People who label Dak one of the worst QB's in the league are no better than those who label him one of the very best in the league. Truth is both statements are flat out ABSURD to anyone using the slightest bit of objective thinking. My gosh,... earlier today I saw where someone posted that Dak is so good in the last two minutes that " the likes of a QB like him havent been seen since Joe Montana !"ROTFLMAO!!! Umm,... ever heard of Aaron Rogers? You could ask 100 people who they want in the last 2 minutes and 100 out of 100 would say Rogers over Prescott. IF they were being honest that is. These extreme views of Prescott really need to stop. As a longtime Football/Cowboys fan its actually embarrassing to read.

5th post. About the norm. You’re looking at the game through red tinted glasses. If you didn’t recognize what that performance did not only for Dak but the entire team, then you are hopeless.

Dak wanted this game. It was...

1- A division game. Not sure how much he saw it that way but I did.

2 - He wanted to prove a point to the team that he wants to win.

3 - He needed this game to get game time experience to work on the TE connection.

4 - He needed to show that with up to 4 starting O- Lineman and Elliot out that he could still lead this team.

He threw for 4 TDs and no picks. Team only turned in 50+ yards rushing for the game.

I am still wondering about some thngs. He took a few sacks again and missed open recievers. But he grew yesterday. He has not hit his ceiling yet..

Your talking about a QB that was thrust straight into a starting roll. He went 13-2. If he started the last game of that season then we likely win that game also. 1st year QB goes to the playoffs.

Sometimes I think that people don’t realize certain things. Maybe he isn’t the answer but he is sure playing clutch.

The starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys is the most scrutinized position in the NFL. We expect perfection. Romo has the same thing while he was QB. Now some of the same people that were haters of Romo miss him.

Imagine how well the game would have gone if the Cowboys had their best OLmen and RB playing? Couldn't have been a better outcome for Dak and the Cowboys. I really like their chances in the tournament. A young squad playing with confidence is a dangerous opponent.

Some great points. And it’s just his 3rd year. He’s got some things to work on just like any 3rd year QB, but he’s got leadership. The players believe in him. That’s huge.

I was just saying in another thread I felt that pass to bease was a defining moment. But before that pass after the first quarter he looked like a different QB, like it all just like you said “clicked”. I got that same feeling.

..... yup, I was thinking same thing this morning. This last game could be the kicker for things to come. Turned out to be an important event in subtle proportions, waiting to be seen yet. A supposed meaningless game, with profound undertones to it. Dak finding Jaws 3 times, his presence was commanding the ball and making plays while on the run. All the while NO Zeke, Martin, Tyron and Sua-Filo who departed early. Finding needed sync with his receivers. Truly, one of his best performances to date.
