Cant speak for anyone else but myself so Ill just say this........ Im no Dak hater.... but Im no Dak lover either. I support the kid as he is our QB. We could do a lot worse then him,... but the truth is we could also do a lot better than him as well. People REALLY need to stop with the extremes. People who label Dak one of the worst QB's in the league are no better than those who label him one of the very best in the league. Truth is both statements are flat out ABSURD to anyone using the slightest bit of objective thinking. My gosh,... earlier today I saw where someone posted that Dak is so good in the last two minutes that " the likes of a QB like him havent been seen since Joe Montana !"ROTFLMAO!!! Umm,... ever heard of Aaron Rogers? You could ask 100 people who they want in the last 2 minutes and 100 out of 100 would say Rogers over Prescott. IF they were being honest that is. These extreme views of Prescott really need to stop. As a longtime Football/Cowboys fan its actually embarrassing to read.
You mean the Aaron Rodgers and his Packers who got their tails smoked, shut out and completely destroyed in a 31-0 drubbing by the Lions yesterday?

My view is not an extreme view so quit trying to change the narrative. I pointed out straight away he started out slow with the indeciveness and inaccuracy. And who said anything about anyone wanting Dak over Rogers in the last minute of the game? Quit trolling.

Dak does ok when he has to toss the ball around. No Zeke, Linehan got scared. Frankly im tired of OC taking Amari out of the plan, but as long as Dak isnt forcing it to him im ok with that but Amari needs to be part of every game plan. We cant tell him its his corp but dont get him the ball. Let him go out there and feel hes winning it for us. Let the run game help him out and get the TEs involved with him.

You said this game will likely be looked at as the turning point for the franchise.

That’s an extreme position at this point.

Love Coop, but he was getting doubled much of the game, dropped an easy first down, Dak missed him for a TD, and he fumbled one away. Can't really blame the OC for his not getting involved.

Dak wanted this game. It was...

1- A division game. Not sure how much he saw it that way but I did.

2 - He wanted to prove a point to the team that he wants to win.

3 - He needed this game to get game time experience to work on the TE connection.

4 - He needed to show that with up to 4 starting O- Lineman and Elliot out that he could still lead this team.

He threw for 4 TDs and no picks. Team only turned in 50+ yards rushing for the game.

I am still wondering about some thngs. He took a few sacks again and missed open recievers. But he grew yesterday. He has not hit his ceiling yet..

Your talking about a QB that was thrust straight into a starting roll. He went 13-2. If he started the last game of that season then we likely win that game also. 1st year QB goes to the playoffs.

Sometimes I think that people don’t realize certain things. Maybe he isn’t the answer but he is sure playing clutch.

The starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys is the most scrutinized position in the NFL. We expect perfection. Romo has the same thing while he was QB. Now some of the same people that were haters of Romo miss him.

I like parts of your comment and many others I've read about the first season involving Dak. He really did do an amazing job for a rookie. I've talked to a lot of people about it, some who hate my opinion and you may as well, however my big problem with anointing Dak at that point was the fact that Romo constantly had a headset speaking with Dak. He relayed every observation to Dak. I'm not saying he's not a talented athlete and he hasn't gotten better but he's not the QB people thought he would be. This post could be much longer but it's way too long already. This is just my personal opinion so please don't take it the wrong way. Happy new year everyone. Go Cowboys!

P.S. I'll always root for Dak as long as he's our QB. I hope he gets to where some of you think, and hope, he will be. It would be nice but I still don't think it has all came together for Dak. I hope it does soon.

The headset is shut off at 15 seconds, I think it is, so while Romo could point out certain things, he couldn't do anything if the defense changed.

I gotcha. I was more speaking about audibles and reading the defensive plays/positions at the start of the play.

ok than, thats me not listening to my own advice, play the guy with the hot hand and Coop wasnt hot. Cant argue that. When the field gives you a hot hand, play it.

It was another slow start for Dak. He was indecisive and missed some throws. But something clicked for him in the first half. Not sure it was the 1st TD to Jarwin, his bud, or before that. But he was a different QB than we’ve seen basically the whole year. I think this win is going to go down as a turning point for the Cowboys. It was an amazing show of leadership and determination not only by Dak, but the whole team. Football teams feed off their QB and Dak showed yesterday that he’s got this. Amazing game and the team will probably point back to yesterday as a turning point for the franchise.

LOL...Not buying the Dak-Hoopla bud esp against a Dead Giants team....lets hope the above applies come Saturday night....you have my support....but not my faith as Pigs can't fly and Dak is well Dak.....GL to our Cowboys!

That’s the point of the thread. It is starting to all come together for him and this game was a huge step in the right direction. Don’t forget he’s only in his 3rd year and is 32-16. So he’s started off very well already. He needs to work on his mechanics and as all 3rd year QB’s will start getting better at the feel for defenses and how to handle all the myriad looks DC’s throw at him.

I could care less what you think. You’ve shown your hand and everyone knows the cards. Move on.
