Against the Giants, Dak was loose, carefree and just played. Best game I've seen him play in his career because he just let it go. He needs to bring that mentality into these playoffs. If they line up 8/9 in the box, he just needs to throw his one on one receivers open and let them get that ball and run! Cooper and Beasley should have a field day over the middle. Both of these guys can get instant separation in man to man. Make them pay, they'll back off and then you can fire up Zeke.

If they invest so much into stopping Zeke, it’s all on Dak and Linehan. We have Cooper, Beasley, Gallup, Jarwin and Hurns—plenty of weapons. We need uptempo, quick passes, roll outs, play action, etc.

We have multiple weapons the two questions remain are as followings:

  1. Can the offensive line hold up to get the ball to them?
  2. How good are we at making adjustments on the fly?

Seahags would be making a grave mistake if they line up 9 defenders in the box. Dak, Amari, Beasley and Gallup will make them pay dearly.
Let's hope so that seems to be the Seattle plan if they're going to put 9 in the Box that's been the scheme all year to beat the Cowboys make Prescott beat you, this is nothing new

A healthy rested Zeke is dangerous and Seattle knows it. Just listened to few shows mentioning Seattle will go to an extreme degree (9 man boxes if needed) to stop Zeke. This is Dak moment to shine. If he looks pressure in the face and calmly delivers a win then I think Dallas is on their way to being SB contender over next few seasons and Dak should get extension after season.

However, if some of those Dak pick-6 throws aren't dropped by defenders and Wilson grossly out-shines him I think there will be fire storm of criticism that will last entire off season. For our mental health perspective Dallas needs to win this game.
Zeke still balls out probably touches the ball 25-30 times

Cowboys may have to stack the box to stop Seattle’s run game. I doubt Seattle stacks the box as much as you think.

A good OC will spread them out and still run the ball.

Even with the missed TDs and dropped int Seattle would be mindlessly stupid to play a 9 man box after the way Dak threw the ball last week. Dont believe everything the talking heads say on TV, it's about as reliable as the internet!

Romo points out the solution to 8-9 in the box. Shift to 5 wide and that will put the defense in a pickle. That way Dak can quick pass
to his quicker players. Soon that 8-9 in the box will be 7 in the box.

Quick passes, screens, roll outs, dump offs, QB designed runs and scrambles.... and of course: ground n pound with Zeke. Then take big shots off PA once they are worn down and sitting on the underneath stuff. In other words... do to Seattle what they try and do to everyone else.

Nine in the box is fine and works in short yardage situations, but no defense can play the majority of the game with just 2 in pass coverage even with a QB that some feel is average at best and especially with a speedy WR like cooper and not getting any help with him not to mention Beasley and now Jarwin. If they play 9 in the box to often Prescott will do play action to keep those 2 extras close to the line of scrimmage and by the time they realize it's a play fake they'll be to far behind to cover whoever is open. There wikll be a lot of short completed passes that just keep moving the chains until they back off of the 9 in the box.

Maybe, MAYBE, the occasional 8 man box.
9 man box? That's really rare. One double move and its a TD

I really don't know a team that plays nine in the box. The only way that happens is if we are in a heavy set with 3TE, 1W and 1 RB... I only see that formation in short yardage or goal line.

Cooper has been getting double teams the last 3 weeks. If the Hawks put 9 in the box, Amare will have 250 yards.

To me that means they’ll alternate and adjust on the fly—disguise their coverages and give Dak as much unfamiliar stuff as they can. Expect Seattle to play their best game of the year. That said, if we do the same, we’ll win handily.

To be honest, I think every team's goal was to stop Zeke and make Dak beat them. In fact, Dak now with Cooper should be licking his chops seeing 8-9 men in the box.
I think Dak has actually started to throw defenses out of putting 9 guys in the box to take away Zeke and the inside routes. Cooper obviously played a big part of that, but Dak has been attacking the sideline with many receivers in recent weeks. There is a reason that Jarwin and Beasley have been showing up big the last few weeks while Cooper has "disappeared".

I personally think that this is fantastic news for us because it means Dak can start playing through his strengths again in the middle of the field.
