Im going to need a nap before this evenings game, I already know that.
Yep.
You will be up til 3am if we win.
Posting this reminds my of a story from my youth.
I was about 14 and we lived in North Dallas.
I had a backdoor neighbor who was an attorney.
He and his wife lived alone.
He was a WWII fighter pilot and owned a P-51 Mustang and kept it out at Addison Field.
He was an ace and took me up one day as it was a 2 seater.
I will tell this story later..
I digress..
Anyway..
for a pet he had a dog named Boy.
He was part wolf and part German Shepard.
I would go over and knew the way into the fenced backyard.
When my neighbor was at work..
his wife was at home.
I would play with Boy.
I would take his football and throw it up on the slanted roof and watch it bounce down and pretend I was Drew Pearson and try to catch the ball as it bounced down.
Boy would watch me and run after me and get the ball if I missed it and we would chase each other for the ball.
I could not catch him.
Finally he would sonter over and drop the ball at my feet to do it again.
Off we would go.
This time I would be Bobby Hayes catching a bomb from Don Meredith.
Over and over.
Great long ago memories of an early Cowboy fan.
