He has the Gurley deal to go by and I think his agent will wait out the Bell deal. With escalating QB, WR and DL/LB salaries, makes sense that the RB's would want their share. And it's not lost on the Jones the effect of Bell not showing up for work. Both the effect within the team and on the season.

And some here might think Elliott wouldn't be a no show but there is no such thing as team loyalty, that is merely wishful thinking by fans.

if the guy working wall mart gets a raise, it does not impact a commodity that we care so deeply about. If there was no salary cap, I can promise you that not a single person would raise an eye brow over what these guys make. But since we know paying these guys early hurts the team we loves cap situation, thats why you see discussion of someones contract.

They would have the option year they could use before the tag would take place. I get the feeling that neither would work for them because of the Bell fallout, the RB has once again become a critical piece and every star RB and his agent is going to take advantage of that. Their feeling is that they've been underpaid and that "RB's are a dime a dozen" saying has taken it's toll.
