Packers hiring Titans coordinator Matt LaFleur as head coach

The Titans offense was not good. Anyone who complained about the Cowboys offense would really hate the Titans offense.

He had them going mid way through. He’s a good coordinator who was up and coming in Rams system. Think he’s a good fit with a guy like Rodgers

Matt Lafleur is a head scratcher. If Im a Packer fan, Im concerned. HE was the best you could get? I think Eberflus would be the better fit there.

There's talk that there's an offensive bias in teams looking for new head coaches. They see where the league has gone and want an offensive guy at the helm.

I think this is more of a Jason Garrett effect. They all want their own.

Only 7 games with more than 200 yards passing this season. Only 1 game with more than 300 yards passing this year. Had 3 games with less than 100 yards passing. The last 4 games of the regular season they had less than 200 passing yards in all 4 and less than 100 passing yards once. They did get Henry rolling eventually. Took long enough. They have had one of the best offensive lines in the league the last few seasons.

Yep. Coached under Shanahan and McVay. I'm a little surprised it was the Packers, but not surprised at all someone made him HC. Those guys are getting snatched up.

Only 15 HCs in a 100 years - Packers like stability.

They do. That is an average of 6.53 seasons per coach.

It is a bit surprising that only two of those guys coached for more than 10 seasons. Curly Lambeau(their first coach) had 29 seasons and Mike McCarthy was there for 13.

For comparison, Dallas averages 7.38 seasons per coach. Landry eats up most of that with his 29 seasons. It is 4.29 seasons per coach after him.

I kind of don't blame LaFleur for the Titans offense. They had exactly one credible offensive weapon, who spent 15 games on IR. Everybody else Mariota had to throw to was a scrub on any other team, and as usual Mariota wasn't durable enough to make it a whole season anyway. They also had a similar decline in offensive line play to what the Cowboys had after 2016. About the only thing you can maybe pin on him is giving Dion Lewis too many carries in the first half of the year, but Henry was stinking the joint up for the first half of the season.

Corey Davis and Henry are really good IMO.
