Jim Caldwell, token minority interview that had zero chance to be hired. All the Rooney rule is a "Check this Box" exercise that is closer to lipstick on a pig. Not that I am a fan of things like that rule but it is a rule.

Rooney rule shouldn't even exist...I can't stand this kind of stuff.

Employers are going to hire the best candidate for the position because it's a company trying to make money.
Someone's not gonna look at a resume and see all of this great stuff and the guy comes and interviews well and the employer says "Well....he's a great applicant but his skin tones the wrong color, NEXT!" yeah right.

Mike knows what he's doing. He's bringing up how all of these guys are getting head coaching jobs and minorities aren't even getting a good look. Its truly embarrassing. Its not even about hiring minorities but you know that retreads like Jim Caldwell and Hue Jackson are just used to bypass the Rooney rule. Its why I had to laugh at people being afraid Richard was going to leave. He may at some point but it wasn't happening this season. He has to have his unit perform above and beyond just to even get a true look at being a coach. Its sad but its where its at.
