He had no blocking tonight. Zeke was hit at the LOS almost every time he touched the ball.

Shouldnt he be able to create for himself?
I feel like a running back who many on here claim is the best back in the league should be able to create more than what is blocked for him. Or it that too high of expectations for a #4 overall pick?

The OP is a known troll. He is a troll from the scout cowboys message board

This thread is made with the sole purpose of setting people off
Known troll or not, it’s a very legitimate question. Zeke, as most/all RB’s, aren’t worth much without a very good O line. He was a luxury pick at the time but times have changed, the O line needs improvement, a lot of improvement. Take care of the O line first, not Zeke.

Right. Don't blame the OL that couldn't run block their grandmother, blame the RB that had to run into a brick wall all night.

You’re proving my point...

An “elite RB” can’t do crap AGAINST A BAD RUN D unless the line is great.

Tells you about the position.

Dumb, dumb, dumb, statement. Name any RB that does not need an o-line. Are you of age?

How about you go look at statistics, that is a thing, genius.

You get multiple RBs went up against MORE stacked boxes this year and were successful, right?

You think You’re opinion is still valued? The David Johnson is better than Zeke guy. The rb with1 1000 yard season in his life

This isn’t an argument...

1. Quote where I stated he was better
2. I said I value an RB that can catch the ball like a receiver more than a pure runner in today’s league

Nice try. And it’s “your”, genius.

Jesus christ, Shut the f*** already. All you do is suck Dak's C***. Zeke literally had no where to run today.
So again, Zeke is great, Zeke is the leader in rushing...blah blah blah and there’s no mention of the O line when he does well or the fact that he averaged less ypc then Gurley or Barkley but when he doesn’t have room to run it’s never his fault for not making plays, it’s always the O line. Tjis is exactly why he shouldn’t be resigned/extned or why you don’t take a RB that high in the draft unless you have every other positional group shored up.

Really? Why? So you think our O line is just fine and we should spend a lot of money on a RB instead of making the O line better?

I guess CJ Anderson is a better RB then Zeke since he got more yards or perhaps he had a dominant O line that created holes for him. I dunno. Throw bills at Zeke, our O line is just fine as is and he’s so awesome he doesn’t need anyone blocking for him...unless he doesn’t get over a 100 yards then it’s the O lines fault and coaching.

There have already been several comments/excuses in this thread that Zeke didn’t get his yards due to the O line. Why is that?

If he’s “all that” then the O line shouldn’t matter but no RB is “all that” without a very good O line. If you think our O line is right where it needs to be with no improvements through drafting or salary cap necessary within the next 2 years then we have nothing to argue about, we just disagree. If you think a RB demands more attention/money then any player on the O line then we have a lot to disaggree about.

That's is to much to ask from anyone. Their plan was to stop the run at all cost. They were successful because they have the players to do it.

Can you be more specific? By players, do you mean that their D line was better then our O line therefore making our offensive line more of a priority then, say a RB?

They played with 8/9 in the box. Donaldson and Suh are pretty darn good not to mention the other 6/7 guys playing up front to stop the run. How are you going to get 5 guys to block that many? Especially when Donaldson usually has 2 guys on him?
They were begging Dak to beat them and he couldn't.

Too much to ask against the 32nd ranked rush defense? Man, that's some pretty low standards you have for Zeke. Which is fine if you think Zeke is just an average back.

so you want to make this team worse because of 1 bad game?...lol

Who said it would get worse without Zeke?

And it’s not “one bad game” - Zeke has sucked in the red zone and hasn’t had homerun hitting since his rookie season.

You're just guessing.

LOL DAK HAD A GOOD GAME!?!?! So your expectations for Zeke are that low, yet you expect Dak to play better than he did?

This while playing the worst rush defense in the league, but a good pass defense. Man.
