Guess it is safe saying Parker survives Thanos, as if that should surprise anyone--in this universe. However, I am surprised this teaser precedes Avengers 4.

I am very happy they are presenting Mysterio WITHOUT the bubble helmet. Gotta prepare myself. My family and friends come to me as their comics nerd go-to guy. Mysterio will not be easy to explain. Wish the movie tied DareDevil with him but I am very happy with the trailer nonetheless.

This is the Spiderman I've been waiting for. Hilarious, but determined. Looks like it's gonna be the best Spidey movie to date, by a long shot.

Wanted to check the movie's credits first before answering. There have been multiple Mysterios and I caught myself thinking Marvel/Disney may not have gone with the original character.

Answer: Perpetual bad guy. Doctor Octopus or Lex Luther type storyline? I doubt it. Mysterio rarely had either's grandiose mentalities despite what we see in the trailer. Goblin is a good question but I see Marvel/Disney introducing that great character later and not have a previous character like Mysterio upstage him before his eventual debut (keeping fingers crossed).

I reserved the right to change my mind when newer trailers are released.

My guess is Mysterio is using one of his illusions to make himself look like the hero defeating a bad guy. As the story progresses, Mysterio's true bad nature and intentions will show. And he will probably don the helmet at some point later in the film.

I think you’re exactly right. He’s probably got a deal going with Hydro Man to put on a show where he looks like a hero.

Spider-Man exposes him as a fraud and makes another enemy.

This looks outstanding. The real questions are, is it pre-Avengers 3 and the bus he's on in Infinity War is the ride home from Far From Home, or is it post Endgame? My guess is it's post Endgame. How much will he remember? Will he have to deal with some PTSD of dying and coming back?

As far as i know, it's definitely after Endgame. I'm sure that there will be some level of fallout from that situation, but they're not going to give anything away here.

This on-screen version of Mysterio might be a magical hero, but we suspect he may be more in line with his comic-book counterpart. Could Mysterio be creating the 'elemental monsters' and then showing up to 'defeat' them, thus establishing himself as a superhero as cover for his criminal activities? (This would, in fact, mirror Mysterio's first appearance in 1964's Amazing Spider-Man #13, in which he initially pretended to be a crime fighter.)

Obviously they have to create a new timeline if he's back, so I don't see how he could "remember" something that never happened to him.
