He had a really good short season for the Cowboys. Showed up in both playoff games. Looking forward to a full training camp new OC and a full year. If all goes like last year he will be a handful. Not to mention he is already getting the feel for owning NFC East teams. Gotta love that....

Go Amari. He’s a good receiver. Cooper, Gallup, Beasley - that’s not a bad trio.
Yes...I know we might be losing Beasley

I said after the trade that Cooper is the best route runner they've had since Mike Irvin and might be the best route runner of all active players.

Aikman had since repeatedly said Cooper is the best route runner that he has ever seen. This a big endorsement because Aikman was the most critical QB in regards to WRs route running that I've seen. I saw him berate Kevin Williams in training camp for being 1 foot off on his cut on a 20 yard route.

Personally I would have a hard time ranking WRs as route runners above Jerry Rice or Mike Irvin; however, Cooper does have more athleticism that either Rice or Irvin.

Cooper is as quick or quicker than Beasley in/out of breaks but is 6-1, and over 210 pounds and has more deep speed than the 5-7, 170 Beasley.

Number 5 should’ve been number 3, because that was a nasty 5 yard in route he took the distance.

Love the Cowboys combo of Cooper and Gallup outside. Really good and young group. They’ll be even better next year.

Cooper is good out of the slot as well. All they need is one more WR (slot or outside guy) and a TE and I’ll be happy with the receiving group.

Boy, a lot changed in a year.

Yeah I saw this earlier. So excited we have coop. Can’t wait for a full off season for him dak and Gallup to mesh. Along with a new cordinator to help these guys out !
If Dak can work on his anticipation and accuracy, and a new OC brings some innovation to the offense, there's no reason we can be one of the more potent offenses in the league.

I would say Cris Carter is another great route runner.

Cooper has deceptive speed. He doesn't look that fast, but once he breaks in the clear, defenders can't catch him.

Cooper’s change of direction is elite, and he has rare acceleration for a guy his size. It is why he’s able to get open so often and why his YAC is so good. DB’s can’t go from 0 to 60 like him and he’ll just run away from them. You can see it well in the video above on his first TD against Washington. He just explodes away from everybody else. It looks like the defenders are running in mud.

Great get by the Cowboys. Really great.

I think Dak and Cooper will get better. This year, I think Cooper was open more times than Dak would get him the ball. But Dak is learning to be a game manager, which means spreading the ball around to other receivers. I understand the politics behind that when you're a young leader. But Dak needs to take a page from Aikman. If you weren't open and if another receiver was always open, Aikman would make you his primary receiver - which, of course, happened to be Michael Irvin.

Dak should have fed Amari the ball more. Hopefully, next year, he'll say, "Screw the rest of you. If Amari's open, I'm going to him every time and seven times on Sunday." ;)

A couple observations from the clip.

1. The placement by Dak on a lot of those throws were very impressive.

2. When Cooper get s a step on the defense everyone knows he's not going to get caught from behind. It's the exact opposite for Zeke, everyone knows he's not going to score.

And the Egals got rid of him.

I support Dak but it would be fun to see Cooper and Gallup playing with a QB like Foles. Obviously they would have to change the offense. I also like the potential of Noah Brown. He just needs seasoning.
