well the silver lining to this is if they don't extend garrett and they follow their usual record their will finally be a brand new staff in dallas next year maybe we can start hoping for some good things to happen then

Excellent. He should. And if it doesn't work, can the entire coaching staff and go outside for the next coach.

Lol

They’ve had multiple reasons to fire Garrett and still haven’t done it this won’t do it either

If I were going into a lame duck year (assuming he doesn't get an extension), then I'm going out on my terms. Not with some OC the owner picks for me possibly stinking it up, hastening my departure.

I think this move makes the most sense as long as Garrett isn't given an extension.

If he fails as a playcaller we will know by the end of the year and we can replace the entire staff.

Give Richard an opportunity to interview for the position and go after Dabo.

I would rather just fire Garrett now, but I think this is the next best thing.

None of these dudes have any idea what is going to happen. They are just tossing out whatever comes to their mind.

Yikes, bad start to off-season. Don't give him an extension until the end of next season, let's see what he's made of.
