Tony Romo has to be the best analyst since John Madden

Lol @ “he called every play”. The guy is like Nostradamus, he predicts so much that some of it is bound to be true. Sitting around with my friends, a lot of them get it right too. He contributes a lot of knowledge about the game that most don’t but the whole “he’s so smart, he knows whats going to happen every play” is so overblown it’s nauseating.

I’ll be more than happy to get in a live thread next year in a game he calls and point out every time he’s wrong, which is at least the same amount he’s right (if not more) but the Romoholics don’t want to hear and start getting testy. It’s actually quite amusing.

Hahah he’s really getting under your skin. Hilarious that the Ghost of Romo can still get you going. Priceless:lmao2:

Geez Louise I can't wrap my mind around the fact that Romo actually lost a football game. It's a travesty a geanuos like that was let down by so many people,
Me wonders if Dakota fans turn the volume off when Romo is broadcasting?
I wonder if Romo fans break out the KY...extra slippery

Why? I loved Romo as a player. I was mystified at the criticism. And when Dak came along, I wanted Romo back in once he was healthy. Not because Dak was not doing amazing. I just thought Romo gave us the best chance at that moment, with the team we had built, combined with his wealth of talent and experience. And Dak, no matter how great he was doing, would be very benefited by watching Romo. That did not happen. But I did not throw up my hands and decide to become a Dak hater! I watched closely and saw his strengths and rooted him on. This year came and at mid season I so wanted us to get a replacement for Dez. Cooper came here and the last half of the season I saw Dak mature and become a leader. Now I am fully on board and think he will win many games in January for the Cowboys. Just this moment, I wish Romo would somehow find the time to become our offensive coordinator now, AND have time for his kids. :) Though I am sure it will at least 5 years out before he decides to coach.

I though you reply was thoughtful, heartfelt, and profound until I read the word “hater” and that really killed it. But thanks for adding to the conversation anyway

It’s obvious your just a biased Romo hater. I want educated conversation.
Oh, I’m sorry, you must have a hard time understanding words since I said “he contributes a lot of knowledge about the game that most don’t”. That’s hardly biased but, yes, he does annoy me. I can go into all of his annoying “ooooooing and ahhhhing” like a 5 year old at a toy store or how he sounds like he’s struggling to have a bowel movement everytime it’s a close call or how he gets credit for being right even when he’s wrong (ie “watch out for the fake punt here”) but I won’t.

Apple and organges, since one of the color analyst. Either way, I’m not really impressed by Romo.
Do you realize you are the only one in the entire world who feels that way? That should tell you something.

Fair enough. I will edit it out. I was not really referring to you at all, but the people who seem to dislike without reason, simply to be contrary.

Yeah, he contributes good football knowledge but he annoys me. Everytime I hear his name I think of 2 playoff wins in ~10 years, ironically it makes me want to choke. Get it?
