Will Cowboys Fans treat this Super Bowl matchup like 1995 and not watch?

I just remember not having any interest in watching the Chargers get beat down by the Niners and never turned the game on at all. Is that this same type of matchup? Pats blowing out the Rams?

I’m gonna watch it. Go Pats. I love the Pats and hope they put a beat down on LA.

Not watch it just because the Cowboys aren't playing in it? I'm a football fan not just a Cowboys football fan, they just happen to be my favorite team......both games yesterday were entertaining to watch.....I would rather the Saints and Chiefs be in the SB but I'll still watch it.

I don't remember many cowboys fans watching the 95 SB. Probably because it was no chance of san diego winning

I won’t watch just because I don’t have interest. They messed up the NFCCG. Sucks, because I actually was interested in any of the four possible matchups prior to that.

I'll watch. Don't know who I'll root for yet. Don't like either team. When I root for the Pats they lose so maybe I'll root for them. lol Have never liked the Rams though. In 1995 I didn't watch much of the game because I knew it would be a blowout and it was.

Really don't know, my middle son is a Pats fan (hey, don't judge me, he was raised in a Cowboys home) but he'll probably go to a friend's house.

If I'm invited to a SB party I'll go because it's something to do and there will be food :)

LOL, one play = messed up. Such terrible logic.

One play that absolutely changed the outcome of the game in a single elimination tournament. There’s nothing wrong with my logic.
1. That's as assumption on the outcome.
2. Many (really all) plays can change the outcome and penalties were missed on many of those. Are you factoring in all the changes to the game from those plays too (an impossible task - making your argument all the more illogical)?

Your logic is not logical at all.

Your false assumption of some added significance because of when the penalty occured is flawed rational heavily influenced by recency bias.

Yes, it's an assumption. An assumption the team that ought to have won would have knealt out the clock, which they could have done. Maybe they'd have done something crazy and turned the ball over, but really, they'd have knealt out the clock. It's a 100% lock.

The comment you're trying to make about recency bias isn't clear. But then, I also can't imagine how it could be relevant, either.

This game was won by the Saints, and a terrible blown call gifted a possession to the Rams instead. End of story. If you're ok with factors like that influencing who's in the championship game, by all means, watch with baited breath. I have no interest in the outcome.

Your "logic" only works if the entirety of the rest of the game didn't happen, or you believe every other play was officiated perfectly. No bad or missed penalties. Nothing.

Recency bias is giving that one play more value than many others in the game simply because it was more recent (or later) in the game than the others. A missed penalty on the first play can affect the outcome as much as one on the last play. Ignoring the other 100+ plays for one is not rational.

I’m really not interested in parsing infinite universe theories with you. The refs gifted the Rams the offensive series they would not have won that game without. I’ve got no interest in a world championship for a game that can’t be officiated properly.

Last football game in months so I always watch it. My interest in the game may vary, but I've got months to watch stupid stuff on Netflix or old movies.

Fine, if you don't want to deal with reality, and want to pretend the rest of the game doesn't exist, I won't stop you.

And if officiating properly is that big of a concern, you probably never should have started watching football.
