So everyone is all up in Riley’s jock because why? Every year or two it’s a new college coach that fans are clamoring for. Let’s see, Riley had one of the best QB’s in college football. OU is in one of the weakest defensive conferences in the country. Riley has only been a HC for a couple of years. What has he done that is so memorizing?

Chip Kelly was supposed to be some “offensive guru” as well, how did that work out?

Deservedly so. Congrats Riley!
Another false hope ended for the Garrett Lynch Mob.

Ah!
Breathe!
You dodged a bullet. In a dysfunctional franchise where Jerry has play input.

JG is finishing out his contract anyway, so good for Lincoln.

OU has put up big numbers vs Alabama and TCU as well and Saban and Patterson are regarded as defensive masterminds.

Mayfield was considered a good QB but not #1 pick material. Kyler Murray was unbelievable compared to what was expected.

He also consults regularly with NFL teams.

This guy is WAY more than just an up tempo coach

he now makes as much as garrett. i'm pretty sure jerruh was willing to pay him more than garrett if he was going to entice him to leave college football anyway. non story unless the buyout is huge. if garrett doesn't improve next year jerruh will probably be desparate and pay an arm and a leg anyway to get either riley or payton.

Arkansas put up 3 less points on Alabama than OU, so what’s that supposed to mean? Mayfield was considered first round material if it weren’t for his off field issues and yours truly, Jerrah, almost did just that. Murray won’t go #1 if that’s what you’re implying (I assume you meant 1st round).

They also put up a lot of points because their defense was ranked 114th overall out of 129 teams. Meaning they were so bad that they would pretty much just get into a shootout with almost every team they played. Teams would score so quick on them that their offense would trot right back on the field and put up more points.

And just as a reminder, here’s some of their other games you didn’t mention.

OU 28 Army 21 (OT)
OU 51 Texas Tech 46
OU 48 Oklahoma St 47
OU 55 Kansas 40

Hardly impressive considering the competition.

I am one of the Riley guys, but for OC....good for him and OU....

but i dont get this we re the cowboys, "everyone wants to work or play here" the board told me so.

He should be coaching in Dallas. I guess Garrett saved his job winning the division and getting a playoff win. I admit its hard to fire a coach after that. At least Riley didn't go to another NFL team. We can steal him away after next season. We all know the Garrett/Moore offense will be a joke.

Why would he even consider an OC position when he will get NFL HC offers IF he has another standout QB year. He's hit two back to back homers and that's the number one desirable trait in the NFL.

There's one group that hopes he makes that jump, UT. OU is out recruiting the Texas schools in Texas. They barely look at OK players and leave those to State. You drive around DFW on game day and the OU flags outnumber all others. The Horns hope Herman can turn the tide in the in state recruiting.
