If Dak can hit Micheal Gallup Deep he’s another WR1

was watching some highlights. Goodness gracious I don’t know if it’s DBs not respecting dak’s deep ball or Gallup’s speed but he consistently stretches the field and beats DBs in single man coverage

He shouldn’t have less than 800 yards 8 TDS next year.

I still see that play in Washington, late in the game and backed up deep in our territory, and Gallup is running free down the sideline..Dak never sees him.

He is a good receiver and he had lots of single coverage. Half of the deep balls they missed on was because of "inconsistent route speed". On several, Gallup hesitated on the route thinking he wasnt getting the ball.

If a WR was the actual #1 WR on a team, then those would be really low numbers; however, if a WR that is the #2 WR puts up those numbers then it's a different story. The #2 WR has to share opportunities with a slot WR, TEs and RB; whereas, the #1 WR will get his opportunities regardless of what happens with the other receiving options.

The 800/8 bar is not extreme for a #2 WR but it would be a great indicator or progress especially for a 2nd year player in a run heavy offense

Definitely more then once. I recall two times definitely. Are you really going to fault the QB with a rookie receiver? Gallup has talent, but he has a lot to learn. Dak is to blame too, but he didnt seem to have problems hooking up deep with Cooper.

I think those are very realistic numbers for Gallup next year. Depends on what kind of TE we get in the offseason. 8 TD's may be a lot. Dak will probably throw about 30 next year if the Oline is fixed.

Cooper 12, Gallup 6, TE's 4, Zeke 4, others 4?

I hope Dak hit Gallup on those passes a bit more consistently, as they have more time practicing and working together, and as Dak continues to work on his footwork.

I'm really hoping to see some improvement this year. If Kitna can get Dak to be a bit more consistent with his footwork and Dak gets a full offseason with both Gallup and Cooper, then I think we'll see this pass offense really take off.

Daks hit on his deep ball passes more accurately than most. Its a statistical fact.

Well from what I understand he was average last year. In any event the passing game needs to get better and I think it will, with what I posted and getting Fredrick back, etc.

I don't care what number you want to put on him as long as he takes that second-year jump and the chemistry between he and Dak improve. If kitna can help with Dak's development we are a successful training camp away from a dangerous passing attack with the one-two punch of Cooper and Gallup.

I said that during the season, & got lit up for being a hater. People blaming Gallup for not getting farther down the field while being wide open, lol! I think we need to look at accurate QBs later in the draft, regardless of size or school.
Dak lacks accuracy & often reverts back to bad footwork habits that reduce it even more. It has to wear on the players' moral after a while.

Except when a team has 2 legitimate WR1's, they both put up WR1 stats. Juju and Antonio, Thielen and Diggs, Cooks and Woods.
