23 years of failure and you still think we're close

Call me crazy, but yes, I really do, man. We are a young and talented team. The arrow is pointing up. I cannot think of any other team in the NFC that is in better position for success for years to come. However, I will not discount the fact that we need better coaching and good personnel descision-making moving forward to get us to where we want to be.

When you write the book on the NFL and you cover the 21st century, it's all about the Patriots. The Cowboys aren't even a footnote.
Who cares

Honestly, why would I care about a media maggots spin on the Cowboys, good or bad

One of the best coaches and players in nfl history passed the Cowboys and your response is to . . . . . about JJ.

Such little babies

I'm wondering what you expect him to do? Should he be happy that another team and coach has moved ahead of the Cowboys in every meaningful way? Most Cowboys fans, including myself, want this team to do a lot better so that we can be the team to take down the very best competition. Wanting the team to be a winner is normal. I don't think that's being a baby.

They haven’t won the bowl in 23 seasons, they’ve been a top 10 team since 2005, that isn’t good enough for the spoiled brats that are so called Cowboys fans

You want to ..... about underachievement then go ..... to the guy who was just elected to the HOF.

Tom Landry is the reason why Tom Brady has more SB than the Cowboys organization

Go ..... to next years champions. Lucky we even got 2 out that bunch

they have won 6 superbowls and have a ton of records.

they are 2nd place though, the steelers did it first so they are premier.

The Pats tied the Steelers in SBs and postseason victories tonight. They already led in virtually every other significant category. Nobody but the Pats even have a remote claim on being the premiere NFL franchise.

Landry is the only reason anyone cares about the Cowboys. If it wasn't for him this team would just be one of the pack. 20 straight winning seasons, the only NFC team to win a SB in the 70's and the 3 he lost were all close games. This team had a 5-0 advantage over the Patriots when they won their first SB. The last 23 years is the reason why Brady has more SB's than the Cowboys. 3 playoff wins this century is a disgrace.

Now we know who has ridiculous expectations. Tom Landry was one of the most successful coaches in the history of the game. He had a 20-year streak of winning seasons. He made 5 trips to the Super Bowl, winning 2. It would have been a lot nicer to win all 5; that's for certain. But the league is one of extraordinary talent. Those two Steelers teams he lost to were ones of better talent than he had. So that leaves Super Bowl V against the Colts and one of the worst officiated games in history. I would take the Landry era over this team that hasn't won a championship in two decades. The OP also wants this team to do better, and you called him a baby for that. And now you criticize Tom Landry for "only" winning two Super Bowls. Bizarre.

Maybe have your meds checked, but I can predict one thing for you for certain. Fans of this team will continue to be unhappy as long as the Super Bowl drought continues. Call them babies for that if you want. Whatever.

All those guys would be in the HOF if Tom Landry had taken care of business

And the Cowboys would be sittin’ on at least 6 or 7 Championships

2 nfl title losses
3 Sb losses
3 conference title game losses?

Y’all mad at the wrong old guy! Bring home 3 of them ....... and we sittin’ pretty

It's amazing to me a man with such a big ego and a man who always loves the attention on him has sit back for two decades and let Robert Kenneth Kraft takeover the league, receive all the accolades, and move his franchise in front of the Dallas Cowboys in the history books. They have now passed us as the premier franchise in NFL history. The fact that this does not move Jerry at all is mind-blowing to me considering how much he supposedly cares about this franchise.
Jerry still makes the most money. He is doing exactly what he should be doing as a owner. Make money. Nobody is better. That's how he judges if he is successful or not. He is a money genius. The only way anything will change is if Cowboys fans stop spending money on the team and stop watching them on TV. The day this happens is the day Jerry will change. Until then he will continue to sleep with Benjamin's and laugh at us fans for buying into his garbage product. We are wrapped around his finger, we know it and we won't do anything about it.

Jerry threw a pre party in LA for a divisional playoff game.

Robert Kraft doesn’t party until the Super Bowl.

I’m pretty sure Robert Kraft also is quite comfortable letting his coach, you know coach, and basically run the football side of things.

Their couldn’t be a more stark difference in culture between these 2 franchises and it begins at the top.

i love Tom Landry. Doesn’t change the fact that no coach in sports history did less winning with as much as he had. Just facts

Ridiculous. So are you claiming those Steelers teams were actually worse than the Cowboys ones they played and Landry somehow blew it? That would be a bizarre interpretation. The truth is, the Steelers had the most talent, but Landry kept both those games very close through coaching brilliance, and was a way, way better coach than Jason Garrett. But go ahead and brand the OP some kind of "baby" for having high standards for this team and wanting them to play a lot better.

I remember hearing the Ticket's annual interview with Charlotte Jones a few years ago. She went on about what an amazing job her daddy had done, taking a money-losing franchise and turning it into the most valuable franchise in sports. She was genuinely perplexed that people didn't celebrate him for that.

Point being, Jerry and his family and peer group don't look at things like we do. We care about the wins and losses on the field; Jerry cares about wins and losses on the balance sheet and Forbes rankings. And he's winning there. So why change anything?
