Yes, more people watch exciting football games. And, yes, fewer people watch boring ones. That rule was proven yet again on Sunday night, when the Rams -- 11 weeks after a Week 11 54-point exp...

Nobody outside of Massachuesetts cares about the Patriots, and Nobody cares about the rams, not even in LA. Was a bad superbowl...I think as somebody pointed out a couple weeks ago the NFL needed to put the Rams in the superbowl to spark interest as they have a new stadium the city has to pay for. So they need the publicity. That blown call in the NFCCG does nothing to change te thinking in that either.

One reality I have is that NE is not just better than the other teams. NE is what NFL teams used to be, the entire league has been slipping in quality over the past 10 years.

That KC-LA game was a lot of fun, a throwback to the old AFL days, but in no way was that a real NFL football game.

The NFL is creating their own mess by letting the large majority of the cap go to the offense and creating rules to give the offenses advantage. All Belichick has done is seize the opportunity to have one of the best balanced teams over the last 10 years and others haven't caught on, they really do think it's all about Brady. It is as much about his run game and D as Brady.

There are no teams over the last 10 years that could win 3 out of 10 against the 60's Pack, 70's Steelers, 80's Niners or 90's Cowboys except maybe NE and they wouldn't win 4 but they would come the closest because of that balance.

The NFL can just take Football out of their name because they're trying to create a new game.

Not surprised.

The Patriots are ruining the Super Bowl. Getting there is supposed to be a major accomplishment, something NFL players cherish and hope to have the chance for even once in their careers.

Instead, New England gets there so often you have to wonder if they even care anymore. After three, four, five, now six rings, how exciting can it be for Tom Brady to win a championship?

Last night's game had the feel of a 1 p.m. eastern time kickoff in the middle of October. Wow, the Patriots won a Super Bowl. Again. Big deal.

Again, in an age when parity is supposed to be the norm, New England is ruining the Super Bowl. People were sick of the 1990's Cowboys for winning three out of four. The Patriots are making that run look like five minutes.

NE has to get beat. That's all there is to it. The Jets, Bills, and Dolphins should be ashamed. The Pats mow through that division so easily which gives them so much of a cushion for playoff seeding.

Gotta give them credit...they're stinking up the show.

Yeah those 9 straight punts were fascinating

I guess it depends how one looks at it. It was a close game so any of those 9 straight punts could've resulted in a game changing play on a return. Same with any other play - busted tackle, busted coverage, great route by a WR, int or fumble return, etc. That's the same as if it were 51-48. The only difference in that case is if one has an investment in fantasy stats.

Excellent point. Those teams combine for six chances a year to put dents in New England's title chase and they just get destroyed almost every time.

Division games are supposed to be tough as those teams are built to compete against each other. The Bills, Dolphins, and Jets are failing; miserably.

Sorry but the game sucked.... there was no flow, no big plays and a bunch of crappy commercials

No putting lipstick on that pig.... sloppy play and missed opportunities

Exactly. I almost wanted to call in to WFAN. Of all teams the most to blame for the Patriots success is the Jets specifically (big market team with huge FA pull), with the Dolphins next.

If the Commanders won 6 Super Bowls in 20 years to none for Dallas, Giants and Eagles- do you think those ownerships would be upset? Would the players on those teams lay down like the AFC East teams do for NE year in year out?

It's a joke. That Division is absolutely disgraceful and the Patriots "rivals" are worthless franchises top to bottom for allowing this nonsense.

I actually went to a movie with my wife and daughter. No parking issues, lines for popcorn and we could sit anywhere we wanted. Got home and saw the last 10 minutes, which basically based on the comments, was the whole game, so didnt miss a thing. Plus my wife won her square! Turned out to be a great SB Sunday.

NFL did suck me back in this past regular season. I'd almost forgotten how rigged these sporting outcomes are. I'm glad I didn't watch that Craperbowl. I'll go back to not watching from now on.

I attribute the NFL's demise to free agency. The love/fascination of an individual player as opposed to doing what's best for the team. The pats, more than any other team eschew making free agent splashes as opposed to doing what's best for the team.

Unlike many fans, I appreciate outstanding defense and enjoyed seeing two defenses that really stepped up and made the most of their defensive talent. I'd imagine it didn't help the popularity of this one, due largely to the fact that an offensive scoring explosion had been hyped so vigorously. Not this time!

If they played Sweet Victory in full at halftime, the second half would have had amazing ratings.
