It only looks funny because the management around here does not want ALL CAPS as a title.

In this case, I meant AAF, but you can see how the oppressive rules around here distorted the message.

Nah, don't feel bad. It is football.

Even though upstart leagues like the USFL never made it, it is great. More football. More opportunities for some of these kids that need it.

I've been an advocate of a developmental/minor football league for years. The USFL and XFL (previous version) were "rival" leagues. These leagues now are all jockeying to become the NFL's developmental league.

Yeah, no upstart league is going to ever compete with the NFL's money.

This league has a real chance.

I do wonder how it can co-exist with the XFL next year.

The league needs developed QBs and OL. This might be a shot to do that.

The old NFL Europe was somewhat geared that way.

Football is a physical sport, so the baseball model does not work. But this could do something like the G League.

I remember when I was a kid, my father was all angry there was the WFL.

That league really had superstars jumping ship and really disrupted things.
