not well, but seeing that might be as good as 1 or 2 Super Bowls for this fan

Richards would find a hasty departure and end up like the reporter in the video below who had the temerity to ask jeri a "tough" question. That reporter appears to be persona non grata at the star and is now covering the Mavericks (I'd love to get the real skinny on how that happened):

I'd go so far as to speculate that press passes at the star are controlled by jeri & spawn, if they don't like your questions and stories, access becomes difficult, if not impossible

Yikes, that's a tough assignment. Let the posterior kissing begin!

Man, that’s cringey to watch. Jerry looks like he’s considering going off.

I’d say you’re probably right about contilling access to the narrative.

The problem with fans and the status quo is the thinking that this team who can play some decent games every once in a while due to some star power we have will consistently be able to beat 4 playoff teams in a row.

I say four, because I doubt they're good enough to be the 1st or 2nd seed in this NFC.

The hallmark of Garrett's teams is the ability to win games against bad teams and fortunately for Garrett, the NFC East is extremely weak right now.

We went 5-1 in the division, but 5-5 outside of the division. The thing is, I absolutely expect this team to be demonstrably better next year, but I still don't expect any level of consistently at a high level which the Cowboys have never had under Garrett. It's why he has never reached the NFC Championship. That requires a level of consistency that Garrett does not possess. It's why he has 8.5 years as head coach but only 3 playoff births with a playoff record of 2-3.

McVay performed terribly in the playoffs, but in two years has had his team through 4 playoff games... that is one shy of Garrett in 6.5 less years....

I just find it stunning that people can actually defend his record and this mediocracy.

You lost me at the NFCE is weak. It started off looking that way last year but two teams from the NFCE made the playoffs. It is one of the tougher divisions in football year in and year out.

It's the hallmark of the "We do what we do" philosophy. We bet that our players can simply out execute the players on other teams to victory. Our philosophy is that coaches have no job to do beyond giving players a scheme and watching them execute it. The Don't Blame Garrett philosophy.

Romo often could out execute. More recently, the oline often could. But when you hit the playoffs, the rosters get better, and we can't.

Marinelli's "bend but don't break" is an extension of this. It counts on the QBs of other teams making enough mistakes for us to win. It doesn't fool them into making mistakes. It doesn't pressure them into making mistakes. It tries to out execute them, counting on the other team to make mistakes before you do.

Meanwhile, Marinelli got out executed *before* our playoff losses in 2016 and 2018. He was really pantsed in both games. For the first half in 2016, he had no answer to Rodgers going hurry up. In 2018, he had no answer to the Rams reading our dline. Pantsed.

On offense, teams adjusted to us in 2017, playing press man on our wideouts, and daring Dak to beat them. Linehan never adjusted. We just brought in a better wr. And our 7-2 run? We were actually outscored by opponents during that run.

Our average points per game only went up 2 points, to 22. That's middle of the pack for the NFL. With arguably the best RB in the league.

Very good post bro.

Jerry agrees that Garrett's offense is the big problem. First thing he did was fire linehan and brought in a new kid for "fresh ideas" to run the offense and "creativity". He also made if very very clear that Garrett would NOT be calling plays, as he requested, and was kicked to the curb, YET AGAIN. Jones clearly has more confidence in Moore then he does in Garrett. This was a direct attempt to bring Garrett even further away from the offense and get away from Garretts boring, out dated influences.

And you obviously just aren't into the team like many others. If it doesn't bother you enough then no big deal.
Aren't into the team?

After 50+ years of having 4 season tickets since 1965..?

Really?

Let's see?

4 tickets at an average cost of of over $1000 each not including parking, bonds and refreshments?

Over 50 years?

Do the math bro.

Think you need to put your TV remote down and start writing checks.

Than talk to me about it.

Not into the team?

Nope..just know this team very very well.

It does not require spending hard earned money to be a fan.

That is not my point.

But not doing it does not mean someone is not a good fan either.

Look at what the Eagles did to get over the hump. It’s fitting. It’s all about talent acquisition.

And don’t say I’m accepting the swamp when you’re the one falling for the head fake again instead of lobbying to fix what’s actually broken. Your way gets more if the same with a different smiling face in front. You’re the one advocating for more mediocrity, not me.

you defend it, i dont.

we both know the GM isnt leaving so we cant argue that point.

at this point i want JG to do the right thing and walk away but he wont

Who is losing?

We just won the Eastern Division and a playoff game.

Casual?

Complain?

When the team went 3-5..

my brothers and I sold our remaining tickets for the season to a ticket broker we were so mad and frustrated.

We made a profit doing so but we had to wait until the Seattle playoff game to get back.

So we protested at the time.

Guess you can say we put Jerrah's money where our mouths were.

And you?

What did you do?

Post another post like this?

You lost me at the NFCE is weak. It started off looking that way last year but two teams from the NFCE made the playoffs. It is one of the tougher divisions in football year in and year out.

NFC East - 31 combined wins
NFC North - 33 combined wins (combined tie into 1 win)
NFC South - 32 combined wins
NFC West - 30 combined wins

AFC West - 34 combined wins
AFC South - 35 combined wins
AFC North - 33 combined wins (combined tie into 1 win)
AFC East - 28 combined wins

NFC East combined for the 3rd lowest number of wins. On top of that, the 2nd best team in the division had only 9 wins.

Record among the top two teams:
AFC East - 18 wins
AFC North - 19.5 wins
AFC South - 21 wins
AFC West - 24 wins

NFC East - 19 wins
NFC North - 20.5 wins
NFC South - 20 wins
NFC West - 23 wins

NFC East had the 2nd lowest number of wins with the top 2 teams.

Going further based on point differential

Top two teams:
AFC East - (-3)
AFC North - 170
AFC South - 175
AFC West - 243
NFC East - 34
NFC North - 157
NFC South - 142
NFC West - 224

The only division in football worse than the NFC East is the AFC East.

Those stats mean zero. How many teams from NFCE made the playoffs.

2014 we had a shot to go deep in the playoffs, but we lost to Rodgers in GB (controversially)

2016 we were a good young team that came out flat after the 1st round bye, and barely lost to Rodgers at home

2018 was a transition year with the WR corps, new TEs, and a bunch if new assistant coaches. They started slow and came on the second half of the season but lost bad on the road to the NFC champs.

I don’t disagree with your post— I just think Garrett’s mediocrity is a result of more than just his coaching. There has been some bad luck involved— and the FO also needs to own the fact that they screwed up the defense for years when they had Romo.

The D they trotted out against GB in 2014 was simply a liability against a guy like Rodgers. That is not on Garrett— that is on the FO and their personnel strategy
Even if that no catch was actually called a catch, who's to say that Rogers doesn't march right down the field and score?

That really doesn't matter. The playoffs are a terrible barometer of what teams are actually good. Some teams make it to the playoffs only because their division is weak. We made it in one 10 wins. Pittsburgh had 9 wins and didn't make the playoffs, whereas the Eagles made it with 9.

Ignoring the actual strength of the conferences and divisions separately, you're not looking for the truth.

LOL...……..good then get lost. You butted in on my conversations.

Complaining about someone complaining? And in the end, you were so pissed you sold your tickets. Whats the matter, don't like the reflection in the mirror?

By the way, Dak isn't going anywhere troll. Maybe you can smash the mirror? :lmao2::lmao2:

And they move from one negative narrative, after they’ve been proven wrong, to the next. Over and over again. The funny thing is they don’t realize how stupid they look doing it.

Its freaking annoying, you come here to share some camaraderie with actual Cowboy Fans and there is this handful of trolls that not only dwell on the negative but exaggerate it to the point the posts become intolerable to have to read on a Cowboys fan forum . You should not have to put that many people on ignore because they continue to just spam the board with negative propaganda .

When you can come on a Cowboys fan forum and disrespect Roger Staubach something is radically wrong with the forum

Pretty sure he would have against our DL lol... but then who’s to say maybe Tony doesn’t get it back with 1:30 left to play and steals the game?

Tony was on his game that day for sure
