Eric Dickerson. He was somewhat underrated considering how good he was.

Pretty tough question, especially considering how vague these clues are.

Since the clues sort of imply, to a degree, that the player of question is not in the HOF - my guess is Chuck Howley. The only thing I can't wrap my head around is that the player was a fan of the Eagles, though I know Howley was originally from West Virginia. I can't imagine one of Dallas' most decorated players being a secret Eagles fan though, but that's all I got.

I think you misinterpreted one of the clues, when I said “Even though I am an Eagles fan,” I’m not pretending to be the player. I literally mean ME.

There is a clue in there that gives it away, if you work it out.

I do kind of agree that it is kind of vague at around the 3rd and 4th clue. The missing all pro one time in 7 years made a conclusion that the player only played in the NFL 7 years but it says a span of 7 years which means the player could have played longer than 7 years which brings up a whole number group of players.

Steve Young. Looks like his last colleague that played during his era was Peyton Manning, who retired after Super Bowl 50.

Alright, because no one got it, I’ll give hints. The question is now only worth 1 point from here on out.

One major exception this time, I’m not actually going to give any new hints, but instead I’ll help you break down the ones I’ve given, as I believe it’s more than enough to get it.

1. 6 first or second team all pro in 7 years. Regardless of whether or not I personally found him underrated, he was still really, really good for at least a medium amount of time.

2. 37 combined all-pro and second team all-pro nods missed by hall of famers in the 7 years. What does this imply? Statistically, there had to be at least 5-6 hall of famers playing the position that he was while at the same time he was... MINIMUM. But more likely, some retired partway through his run, some didn’t start their careers until partway through his run, and some were making the other all-pro nod when he was one of them. That means he may have played with 7, with 8, with 9 hall of famers at the same time during this stretch where he was beating nearly all of them out for the accolade. When has that many HoFers played the same position at the same time in NFL history?
