Should be interesting what his market will be...does a team offer him a multi year deal based on his past? Or does he take a 1 year prove it deal to sign another big deal before he’s 30?

If it’s the latter we should definitely be interested. If it’s the former we definitely won’t be interested whether anyone likes it or not.

He's known to be a loafer, which isn't going to fly on a Richard/Marinelli defense, and those mid price FAs just leave a bad taste in my mouth. We all know what Big D's track record with them looks like.

Honestly, my offseason game plan would be:

-Talk to my coaches, find out where Taco's head is at. He looked like a decent starter for the first couple weeks last season, then got hurt, threw a tantrum, etc. It kind of reminds me of the Mo Claiborne situation: I think there's some talent there, but he may not realize it in Dallas.

-Talk to my coaches again, find out how Armstrong is doing. Do they think he's ready for a bigger role or is he still looking like a reserve at best.

-Get my scouts looking at second round DEs. In a deep DL class, we may be able to find a pass rusher who punches above his draft-status weight.

-And free agency would be my last resort, if my coaches are pessimistic about the guys on my roster and McClay and co don't think good DEs will be there. Good pass rushers don't get away from their teams, and the demand for the position drives up the price of the middling guys in free agency. Bargain hunting for DEs usually just means overpaying for a JAG.
