Weren’t some talking about a old TE coming here but got hurt a lot.

Now we have one that never gets hurt and knows the scheme. He gets open. And we have Moore to use him. Very familiar surroundings for all. This may work on a limited basis. He cannot be a 3 down player anymore. Neither can Sean Lee. Use them both in a coaching capacity also.
Eifert isn't nearing 40. But yes, he is pretty worthless when it comes to availability.

Being a fan of this team has its ups and downs, and some of the FO decisions are outright terrible, but this tops a lot of them.

This is the most embarrassed I've been to be a fan of this team in many years.

It's not THAT bad LOL

ESPN alert just crossed my phone.

My hot take: It's the same reason they want to bring Sean Lee back. He'll be more of a coach on the field. I don't think this stops the team from signing a TE in free agency (I certainly hope that it doesn't).

And let's all be honest. Old man Witten is STILL better than any TE that is currently on this roster.

In their minds they no longer have a need at TE and that's what is wrong with this.
agree.I just said that to my brother. In their minds now they don't have a need at TE. Its been a bad issue for Dallas for years, poor planning. Going back to the well again with Witten is dangerous, because NOW are they putting all their eggs in the Witten basket? Lets hope not.
