So who do you think the player was?

Now that’s an example of what I’ve been talking about. Leadership. We have one of the youngest teams in the NFL. We need leaders like Witten. Ignorant fools are focusing on his speed. Ignorant fans don’t realize what Witten brings to the table leadership wise. Of course they don’t. They’ve been playing video games all their lives and have no clue.

There are probably a lot of young players that would do something like this, but the only one that comes to mind is Davon Coleman. He was a UDFA DT that make the team for two games and told reporters the coaches were to blame for a loss. He was cut the same day.

Also in 2015 Dallas cut Corey White when he was the Nickel Corner and RB Christine Michael at a time when we needed RBs. The stated reason was "uniform violations" but that could have just been the formal excuse to get a whiner out of the lockerroom. Who knows.

The only player I can think of who openly acted like this on camera is Dez Bryant. He repeatedly talked about how his on-the-field antics were a direct result of frustration from losing so much. I could absolutely see him doing this while still on his rookie deal.

Whoever it is, he wasn't wrong. Time and again the Jerry-GM'd Cowboys fail when it truly matters. How the player handled it was wrong, but what he said wasn't wrong.
