Alex Trebek

It really sucks to hear that he has pancreatic cancer. Not surprisingly, he seems to be facing it with dignity and courage...

Just got this in my Yahoo account. Very sad news. But as you said, he's facing it with dignity and courage, but also a sense of humor, stating he has to fight it, because he's under contract for 3 more years.
Best wishes, Mr. Trebek, my thoughts, and those of millions are with you!

I know, but you never know when the next miracle drug will come out. Maybe the heads of Big Pharma are Jeopardy! fans.

If the cancer was in the tail end only, they could whack it off with a good chance of survival. But, if in the head....game over. I have a feeling if the outlook was good, he would have said that. At least he isn't young, almost 80 years old, lived a great life!

That's a great point about living a good life. Yes, it sucks that he might be dying, but I bet he lived one of great life that we all would have enjoyed...Sometimes it's not how old you live, but how you lived.

Although his prognosis his grim (not trying to be glib here), he's been given an opportunity.

He can say what he wants to say to friends and loved ones and spend time with the people he wants to before his time is up. In many ways, that's a blessing.

So many people pass away so suddenly that they didn't have the chance to say "I love you" or "I'm sorry" to the people that mattered in their lives.

May not have always been a big fan of his but you never want to wish anything bad on people like that. No matter who they are or what they have done in life. As they are all human beings. Worst kind of cancer to have. As it comes out of nowhere. Thoughts and prayers are with his family!
