In retrospect, was Philadelphia winning the Super Bowl THAT bad?

Don't get me wrong, as a Cowboys fan I don't want the Eagles winning. But during all the decades leading up to Philadelphia's Super Bowl win in February 2018, Cowboys fans would talk about a hypothetical Eagles Super Bowl victory as if it were the end of the world, akin to a giant meteor hitting Earth or something. And.........well, a year afterwards, it doesn't feel like much particular, does it? Sure, we can't use the "no rings" argument against the Eagles anymore but otherwise has that much changed? Was it that bad?

Nope. When it comes down to it, this is only a game we use for entertainment. Who cares if they won? If it affects your life emotionally, you need to get help.

Life is so much more important than letting a child's game affect your peace of mind and emotional state.

And as far as bragging goes. None of us here have anything to brag about. We didn't win or lose the games. Therefore we don't deserve the right to brag for a win or to take the blame/hardships for a loss.

IT'S JUST A GAME PEOPLE!

Nope, the NFL I grew up with died (for me) with the parity era and I don’t take this stuff to heart so much anymore.....
Finally. Someone who gets it.

Don't take this stuff to heart. It's just entertainment.

Didn't bother me. Better than NE winning another, we at least got a break from the Tom Brady slobber for a year.

I enjoyed it because Wentz was out. After hearing for two years how he was the QB we should've traded up for and yadayadayada it was fun watching some of them suffer through it. Then they got over it and jumped back on his nuts from Wentz they came.
