Yes, yes, yes...

Screw Berry.. This can be a cheap deal with immediate starter depth, and hey, another BSU guy!

I’d have a hard time believing he doesn’t immediately make the secondary stronger...

Iloka is an experienced starter and instant competition for Heath. He wouldn't affect Dallas' long term plans at safety and I'd still expect them to draft one. But he would buy the Cowboys some time.

I hope they can sign him.

Why no love for Boston????

The rumor is he has some attitude issues and created some minor problems everywhere he's been. Nothing major, but just enough to make teams think twice about signing him. A player with his numbers shouldn't still be available at this point in free agency if there aren't some red flags.

This is exactly as I see it. It's no ET or healthy Berry, but I think he is a cheaper upgrade to Heath without at all affecting our draft plans.

For those looking for a ballhawk, he is NOT it, but he is a better SS than Heath. Better v. run, better v. TE. Upgrade.

Why no love for Boston????

The way I see it, Boston would require moving Woods to SS. It was worth it for ET, but is that a move worth it for Boston?

Iloka is a prototypical SS that is good against the ground game and is big enough to cover TEs. Woods could stay where he is best, as the deep safety.

I feel they want to show they have other options than berry. They either don’t want to wait for a decision or his medical was poor as they don’t want to take the chance.

Iloka only played a little over 100 defensive snaps for the Vikings last season. Didn't fit the scheme there.

This is the guy I want, assuming Berry isn't healthy and coming in on a reasonable contract (which he isn't).

Iloka is a good bounceback candidate, he had some good years with the Bengals. He took a pillow contract last year but still wasn't healthy, if he is healthy now its a good fit.

Lmao I remember 2 days ago when posters would throw Iloka into every “we should sign this guy thread”. FO brings him in and posters get mad.

I’ve come to realize some fans won’t be happy with anything. Even the “what if JG wins a SB” thread was littered with posts about still not being happy.

That really worth the ink? If you want to upgrade then upgrade... sounds like all this would be is depth.

We can't post it, but there is a nice article on DMN from March 10, that describes how this is actually a really good fit at a good price.
