Never made sense to me either, it's the same number of daylight hors regardless of the time.

I also heard it was for the school kids in the fall so it will be lighter earlier when they're hanging at the bus stop break dancing, doing selfies and trading drugs.
The school thing is what I always thought was the main reason. It's still the most valid reason, IMO. Keep the kids safer.

Idk bout all that, but it being light longer after school was a reason, so they could work the fields.ha
I'll never buy the energy savings stuff[/QUOTE]

I know. I HATE HATE HATE Daylight Ripoff time. I wish we would get rid of it nationwide. Arizona and Hawaii don't have it. Those are the two best states in the country. Florida may join them soon. Go, Florida!

People have no idea what they hate and don’t hate.

You do realize that Arizona and Hawaii don’t observe daylight savings time.
and
Florida is the exact opposite. Florida wants to observe daylight savings time ALL YEAR LONG.

Florida would not be “joining them.”

Yes, Florida would be joining them in no longer changing the stupid clocks twice a year. They would essentially be going on Atlantic Time (same as Nova Scotia) without observing DST. They would be picking a time and sticking with it. I'm not quite sure why you think I don't hate Daylight Ripoff Time. I do hate it. Yes, I've heard of Arizona and Hawaii. I lived in Hawaii for six years and got used to not having to put up with the stupidity of changing the clocks twice a year. That's why I hate having to do that. I now it's not necessary and just makes life more difficult with no benefit.
