He was a bust long before becoming a journeyman free agent.

He ended 2018 on IR. The injury may have delayed him getting signed.

I would resign Claiborne and wait and see what happens with Jones.

If he recovers, great.

If not and his contract ends after 2019..

Claiborne if healthy gets his old job back.

It never was that Morris was not a good player.

He had flashes.

He just had health issues.

Limit his snaps and keep him on the field where possible.

Give him an incentive deal that if he plays..he gets paid well.

Just eliminate the risk factors as much as possible.

If you were watching the draft the year Claiborne was picked, you'd know that just about everyone had him as a top defensive prospect.

Just one of those guys where it never worked out. A true bust. Everyone had him wrong.

A year too early. Lewis and Awuzie are the only CB’s under contract next year so we’re definitely in the market for a CB.

He had his best year last season in terms of passes defensed and interceptions. The thing about him is he can’t stay healthy. He’s never played 16 games in a season.

I still remember how the talk coming out of college is that he had the best ball skills of any CB coming out in the last decade or so. Never materialized in the pros.

I really never payed attention to him with the Jets. How did he play?

He was good, probably a little better or just as good as he was with us when he was healthy. Not really a ton of interceptions but he was good at coverage and didn't play bad at all. MC was never really a bad player... just dude can't stay healthy and was obviously (in hindsight) drafted way too high.
