I fear the Mets. They have the pitching. They added enough to their lineup. IMO, they are serious contenders to win the division.

Would I pick the Mets to win the division? Probably not. Are they contenders to win it? Definitely. It's wide open this year.

Also don't care one bit about who you'd pick to win the division.

Actually I do know you. You're a fan boy. You don't get any more complicated than "our rival sucks!".

I mean, just look at your name here. You were one of those melvins super stoked everytime that bum Roy Williams got a big hit at the expense of being a real safety.

Actually..you dont know me. Or my experience with the game of baseball. Both of those are facts.

But the way you talk about strangers as if you know them sure tells me alot about you.

That is why you couldn't stand to read someone respect the Mets team this year. It hurt your wittle fan feelings. So you just had to respond to me. It made you feel better.

I hope the Mets don't have a shot but I can certainly see the improvements they've made to put them right in the mix of a wide open division. Seems like the analysts agree with me. They seem to think the Mets, while not the favorite, have a chance at postseason play. Could even win the division. They don't seem to share your no shot sentiment. But they also aren't irrational Phillies fan boys either. Maybe that's the problem.

I get it. "Our rival sucks!".

Listen. I get it. You're the big boss man here. This is a place you can come.e in life and be "respected". 50,000 posts. Right on bud!

But your little "I'm gonna act superior" schtick just doesn't impress me.

And you can shake in your boots over the Mets if you'd like. I'm not worried. The Phillies are taking this division. The Mets have made improvements..that's also some good "expert" analysis..but it's not enough. The Phillies added 5 all stars this off-season to a young team that led the division until the last.momth of the season last year. With the added veteran leadership, huge upgrade in talent, and a good young core of players with another season under their belts..they are primed to take this division.
