I agree but man Hardman has the quick speed we need in order to succeed.
Because it means that they are really looking at WR prospects in that range and makes Samuel a strong possibility to be the pick at 58

I remember when news broke about us trading our 1st round pick for Amari, I was disappointed because I thought that ended our chances of drafting Deebo. Man would it be awesome to have them both.

Deebo Samuel, Mecole Hardman, Emmanuel Hall all coming in for official visits
I don't understand the rush to take a WR with our 1st pick

We have our two locked in starters in Cooper and Gallup and have added Cobb in the mix at slot. So maybe that, but we 21 other starting positions too.

I guess, sure, if we get to 58 and BPA is by far a WR, then yes.
Otherwise, I don't see it

I just cant countenance drafting a Wr at 58 ,its not a need and should a extreme fall back option if the safeties and DL get wiped out before our pick.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I don't see all of them as rock solid slam dunk 2nd round picks. More like 3rd or later, especially for Hall and Hardman.

If the DL and safeties get wiped out, I'd take a CB before WR, especially if Jones is a guy who might be the odd man out in terms of getting a new contract.

I’d rather go DL in the second and take WR Andy Isabella in the third if he’s still there when we pick.

I don’t want us even considering a WR until 4th...
I agree. We basically used a 3rd and a 6th last year and our 1st this year on WR. Our first 2 are set for the next three years and we already have some promising young receivers and capable, cheap vets behind them. I know best available is the best way to go, but if there is a good DT or Safety sitting there, we really need to go that way.

I would prefer that another position be BPA at 58 but i could easily see a WR as the BPA. There seems to be some fantastic talent in this draft. Get the best players then figure out how to make it work.

On a side note, there are some RB's in this draft that I really think could be awesome for us. I know its not our biggest need but i get excited thinking about the possibilities. Not sure when we is the right time for one of them but i do think they should be considered very strongly.

I suspect that at 58 there will be a few players at other more needy positions that will be similarly or closely ranked to a WR.

It really would be bizarre to take a slot WR at 58.

DE, DT, CB, S, even TE or OT make more sense than a slot WR.
