Doesn't seem like a lot at all.......

Everything else will be from the draft or June 1st cuts. Jerry will not resign the new tripletts until they prove it about 3/4 into the season as he did with Troy, Emmitt, and Mike. QB first, then RB, and then WR he will franchise tag one until signed. It will not be the QB.

Doesn't mean much really when we all know Stephen can create more room with the snap of his fingers if necessary.

remember that dlaws hit is 20mm bc of the franchise tag...if they sign him long term you better believe that will be substantially reduced....dont fret

Yea, $7 million is a ton of space at this point.

Just enough to sign the rookie class and I'm fine with that.

We will be in the top three in the league in available cap space next season, and that's when you handle your QB, RB, and WR.

Where is our resident expert on this, nighttrain? I more apt to believe what he says because he has been on top of this and I appreciate it.

Would love pay cuts by Hurns and Crawford to increase the amount of rollover to next season. La'el even more so but he has less incentive to do it as he is in the last year of his deal and a starter.

Signing the rookie class will take less than 2m of the cap space. We also have a number of ways to make room.

it is funny though that people kept pointing out how much cap space we have in the future but it does get used up very quickly.

I would not say it's a ton of space because, as was mentioned, you do have to have cap to sign your Draft Picks and your Practice Squad but also, you need to have cap available to sign guys if you sustain injuries during the season etc. That's all part of it as well. Creating cap is nothing more then pushing money into the future. That's not necessarily a place the Cowboys want to be IMO.

Not sure why this is surprising. They do this every off-season. You know they're done when they get to roughly the total amount needed to sign the rookie draft class plus a $5M-ish cushion on top of that. Every single year.
