No back to back home games means no back to back road games either, so I'm not sure this really hurts us.

Means more travel. My guess is the players would prefer home games grouped so they don’t have to fly as much.

Not exactly, they have one set.

And the tradeoff for that one set is they get to both start and end the season at home, which could contribute to a good start to the season, and a favorable matchup at the end if there is a tight race.

But in the end, it's like somebody else said. Good teams deal with it, bad teams don't.

I was thinking that too. No back to back home games first time. Then we have two on the road home for thanksgiving then on the road for the Thursday game week after. They really trying to screw us this year...

We get to start the season in a good situation by being at home, and we get to end the season in a good situation by being at home, which could be big if there are playoff implications at the end of the season, so is having back to back road games that one time really a problem? I don't see the issue some are making this out to be.

Count me with those who love it that we're starting the year at home, and finishing the year at home.

Love, love, love.

Good point, @OmerV !

This just might work to our Cowboys advantage and keep the team from getting complacent or lazy.

As somebody noted, apparently there one time we actually do have back to back road games, but because of that the result is we get to both start and end the season at home, which in my mind helps us more than the single circumstance of back to back road games hurts us.

No it doesn’t. There are always 8 home games and 8 away games, and grouping home games doesn’t somehow eliminate having to travel to every away game. And as far as grouping goes, the more you group home games the more you also group away games.

Well no back to back road games either. It is 16 games who and where we play makes little difference to me. If this is a good team as I feel they are then who, when and where is no big deal.

Or a running joke that’s fun to run with.
True but it’s pretty easy to know who’s joking and who isn’t at this point, especially since I call most of them out every time. This particular guy is still trying to argue with me that Goodell has been purposely giving us a more difficult schedule which is quite hilarious being that the past two years it’s been the opposite.

I mean that just means we don’t have any lengthy road games in a row. Who cares

It all evens out, but it is unusual not to have any back to back home games. On the other hand only having back to back road games once is good.

One schedule I did notice was Pittsburgh has a stretch of 6 games with 5 at home and 3 of them in a row. Of course that also means they are closing the season with 5 away games the last 7 weeks.

Nah, its ok. I’ve called out people before who I thought were serious and they weren’t so I apologized. I just get sick of the excuses and whining, especially bogus conspiracy theories. How about we play who’s on our schedule every year and beat the hell out of them? Instead you get some of these people already belly aching that Goodell is screwing us, the NFL hates us, Mara blah blah blah.

I hope they do give us the hardest schedule every year and I hope every player from both teams are fully healthy (I know that will never happen) so there aren’t any excuses from us or by fans of other teams we beat.
