Best pick? I'm not sure. He's in the conversation with guys like Tyron, Fred, Martin, Zeke. He is a QB so that certainly elevates his value tremendously.
He's absolutely the biggest draft steal in the last 20 years though.
I'm good with that.Based on draft position and qb, those other guys are behind.
I'm good with that.
We probably win 5 or 6 games tops in 2016 without Dak.
Witten was a 3rd round pick and will go into the Hall of Fame.
3 in 2017 because of the Zeke suspension. Maybe 5 in 2018 because the defense was much better.Maybe 3 wins in 2017 and 3 in 2018?
That would be witten
Followed by zack martin

I smell troll.
Yeah people are naming 1st rounders......that’s not better value. Witten would be a candidate as a 3rd rounder. Hard to find better value than Dak.This is about value. Martin the better player, dak the better pick.
There's some kind of troll buried in here, being as how this is from the mind of the CowboyRoyTroll, but...
Dak was a good pick, but remove the fluke rookie year and he's performed about what you'd expect if you throw a dink and dunk QB on to a running team with a good OL. Lots of QBs from Nowhere U could be a bottom third QB with those conditions.
Travis Frederick was not widely viewed to be a first round pick so in my mind the Cowboys actually having the nerve to take him there in addition to being incredibly correct about it makes him the best pick in my eyes.
Wow. Martin? Witten? Frederick? Really?
Only 6 players in Dallas Cowboys' entire history have made 4 all-pros in a 5 year span:
Chuck Howley
Emmitt Smith
Randy White
Bob Lilly

Larry Allen
