He released his top 100 today, https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/top-100-bryan-broaddus-reveals-his-big-board but here's the safety portion:

27. Nasir Adderley - Former CB. Plays with a burst. Super aggressive. Forces turnovers.
29. Taylor Rapp - Sure Tackler. Physical player. Plays at all levels of the defense.
34. Johnathan Abram - Throws his body around. Comes downhill in a hurry. Can blitz.
44. Juan Thornhill - Can cover some ground. Outstanding read and react skills. Wrap-up tackler.
60. Darnell Savage - Plays with an ease of movement. Has no problem carrying receivers.
62. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson - Shows some range from the backside. Can run with his man down the field.
78. Deionte Thompson - There's some questions about his speed. Small size but not afraid to tackle.

I don't agree with it at all. But found it interesting, particularly since he has CGJ so late. Gives me optimism that he'll be there at #58.

Has Rapp higher then most and Thompson pretty. Id be happy with Rapp. There are Safeties I would have, and would have to cover up for Rapp's speed. However a SS that is cerebral in coverage and strong VS the run is never something Im opposed to on my football team

OK, I’ll remember you said that when Rapp’s getting burned. I don’t want the kid.

Brandt had CGJ rated low as well IIRC.

I can honestly tell you boys that of the top five-six safety prospects, I would be pleased with any one of them as an upgrade to our current state.

Deionte Thompson is my cut off point. I think there are too many questions and he has been very elusive throughout the process.

Adderley IMO is a whole tier above all these S IMO. True playmaking FS with the versatility to play CB or near the LOS.

The one player not being discussed enough or mocked high enough, and for whatever reason he is there mid 2nd round he's a guy you go up and get.

Every year, people fall in love with a few players.

This year it’s Rapp.

I hope we don’t take him. He has a ceiling in this league IMO. I think I like Harris more than him.

Harris? No way.

Rapp has been a difference maker. You can start splitting 40 times and cone drills, but he was a big time piece of Washington's defense.

It all depends on what he is asked to do. If Dallas wants Rapp to go in the box and do Kam Chancellor things? Uh yeah, I take him over Harris a million times over.

Harris is a good player, but never nearly as dynamic.

Where picking factors in. I’d rather have a DE or DT and Harris then in the third than Rapp in the 2nd and a third round DL.

I am holding out hope a DL surprises and slides to us at 58.

I would be ok with Rapp at 58 as well. If it weren't for his 40 time he wouldn't even have a chance to be available at 58. Also, for all these worries about getting dusted because of his poor 40 time, there's little evidence of that on tape.

Yup, had him at #93. And Savage at #87.

You just described CGJ though. And he did it against better competition. Adderley definitely fits the mold of what the front office is looking for at safety, but I think most people see him as the first or second safety off the board.

Have some similarities, but I think Adderley has more pop in his tackles, tracks the ball better, and he drives harder on the ball. Adderley at a division 5 school he would be picked in the top 20.

Yes love Adderley and would love for him to fall!

That was before he ran slower than almost every TE and LB.

It was already obvious in game footage that he was not fast.

If draft ratings vary radically before/after the combine, then the original ratings were poorly done in the 1st place.

Rapp had the same 10-yard time as Adderley.

Difference is Adderley is able to track the deep ball and intercept it where Rapp is tipping underthrown balls that should have been housecalls. In the NFL Rapp better be close to the LOS because anything that takes real speed he is a huge liability and it shows on tape.

It’s precisely why Draft rankings are useless. They just parrot the same rankings everyone else uses within a few slots.
