I don't get why some fans aren't excited by this draft

That "former #4" got traded before his rookie contract was up. And I don't know what "lighting it up" means - having a couple 100 yard games? I guess, I consider what dudes like Evans and Brown do weekly as "lighting it up". Cooper reminds me of Toomer - good, not great. And I still need to see if he can keep focus for 2 years straight, because when things got down in Oakland, his hands got bad and he disappeared far too often. Plus, he's just a WR and I don't like giving up valuable picks to skill positions unless the rest of the team has little to no holes or there is generational talent sitting there in the draft.

We can still get some good players in this draft, but not having a first hurts.

The front office had solid picks last year with Williams and Gallup.

Plus Cooper will be lighting it up again this year and he's only 24. A former #4 overall pick.

I'm excited for rounds 2-4

Im excited to get new players. It just won't be as fun for me to watch without a first round pick. Nonetheless the draft is always interesting imo.

I agree. I think they can get DT and S that can help this year in 2-4 rounds. If they do the roster is pretty much set so that is a good thing. Unfortunately Garrett will ruin another season but that is besides the point.

The good news is that I don't think we lost any ground in free agency compared to where we were. We replaced Beasley with Cobb. We essentially replaced Gregory with Quinn. We replaced Swaim with Witten. We replaced Datone Jones/Caraun Reid with Christian Covington. We replaced David Irving with Kerry Hyder. The only player we didn't essentially directly replace were Damien Wilson and Rod Smith.

The bad news is that might not be enough to gain ground on teams like the LA Rams, who have a first-round pick while we'll be waiting until the second round to make our solid picks.

Not saying I'm not excited to see who we get, just that if we want to catch up with the contenders, I think we needed to do more in free agency, especially without a first-round pick.

I hate this 3 days for 7 rounds nonsense, it means that I'll be up till 5AM and (barring a trade up) won't even see My beloved Team pick anybody tonight/tomorrow morning.

I pay attention to the draft. Without an instant impact player. Only times going to tell

I'm paying attention, but with no first round pick it's going to be a long night.

Tomorrow night we will have two new Cowboys, so my interest will be much higher.

When the Raiders are up with our original first round pick just watch this and pretend it's the Cowboys

I’ll be interested to see who’s available when the Raiders us “our pick” @ #27.
