Romo's injury mid-season and having a 40 year old backup really messed up the entire 2008 season. Offense was out of sync after that.

But meh, we got the Eagles back the next season beating them 3 out of 3 times.

A better memory, people tend to only focus on TO, but McNabb was an annoying clown himself. Came dancing out of the tunnel and got spanked again by us.

My last game at Texas Stadium was the next to last game vs the Giants, aka the last Cowboys win in Texas Stadium.

Tickets for the Ravens game were going for ridiculous prices so I saw the Cowboys beat the Giants, just as they did in my first game there. Lucky me.

What else can you do in the off-season but reminisce.

Last monday night game, sorry.

The team that did not fulfill expectations. Offensive powerhouse. Say what you want about TO, but the dude came to play.

Unfortunately, Parcell's hand built defense was worse than I remember. No pressure on the QB at all. Ware is stoned by one guy all day until the last minute of the game. McNad had all day to throw to guys who were wide open. Eagles had to average at least 9 yards a carry on the ground. Atrocious Cowboys D. No wonder they never got far.

Ok, someone just posted about the game at Philly in week 15 of 1991... I was there. Now you are posting about my first ever game in Dallas. Been a fan since 1976 but I had never been to a game in Dallas. My wife surprised me and got us tickets to this game. Me, my wife and oldest daughter all went. We did the tour of the stadium, got to go on field, but damn thing had a tarp on it... I was so upset. I wanted a pic in that endzone. I was so emotional, being at this stadium that I had watched my Cowboys play on for essentially as long as I could remember. When the team was announced an d coming out onto the field I actually cried. I am not a religious person, and this was as close to a religious experience as I have ever had in my life. This was one of the best weekends in my life. Now, as I said in the other thread, we now have a family tradition. We fly from ca to dallas for every home opener! By the way... what was the score of this game, like 63-54 or something... damn high scoring game:) Did felix jones return a punt for a td? I will post a pic from this game later.

Drove from upstate NY for the Thanksgiving Miami Leon Lett game when they had an ice storm. 22 straight hours. Had no coat, nose bleed seats with the package. Average Bills weather in NY. The transfer bus from the hotel got stuck on the bridge in the ice. So many no shows, we were able to sneak into seats near the 50 yard line. Leon was a monster, blocking kick atempts left and right. Too bad he's remembered for his gaf. Voted one of the most memorable Cowboy games.

Got pulled over by NY state trooper just outside of Buffalo on the trip home. Asked were we were coming from, he tipped his hat and started laughing. "Can you believe that ending? Slow it down" he laughed and let us go. Good times.

Parcells left in 2006. You can't hold him accountable for what happened on defense 2 years later.
It was his defense. He replaced the whole 4-3 that was a lot better. He wanted to buy the groceries but couldn't cook anymore. That's why he quit. He knew they were what they were.

2006-2009 the defenses weren't that bad. 2009 they were actually really good.

Ravens ripped two off to close out the game and the building. I sat there staring at my TV for an hour afterwards and couldn't say a word. I still don't know how to quantify what I felt about the team that day. Texas Stadium deserved better.

The last game at Texas Stadium sucked. Defense gave up 2 - 80 plus long runs to the Ravens in the 4th qurarter. All they had to do was make a stop. but the D was horrible.
I was at that game. A game they should have won, and make the playoffs. But no, the win and in coaching king Garrett could not get it done. Failed to make defensive adjustments.

I still have the program from that game. I bought 2, opened one, have the other one sealed. Same for the 1st game at the new stadium, one opened, one sealed.

Yep me and my dad were there too. We didn’t even stay for the ceremonies, I wasn’t happy about that loss.

Dallas lost the opener to jerry world too lol part of the garrett curse I think.
Thats what happens though, when the visiting team wants to ruin the cowboys history more than the cowboys want
to make good history. I know the giants loved winning the opening game at jerry world. The ravens probably got all
pumped up to ruin the last game at texas stadium.
Wade wasnt much of a motivator, and JG isnt much better.

Yes I think it was him on one one, not sure if both runs, would need to look it up.

2008 season is a blur in my memory . It was the first year I didn’t attend a home game in over 40 years after relinquishing my season tickets after the Giant playoff game earlier in 2008.

Walking away from my season tickets was one of the most frustrating decisions I’d ever made. But I don’t regret it.

Here's to leaving those games devoid of any pass rush left in the past, never to return again!

Let's hope this year gives us redemption from the agony of the sackless contests back then. ;)
