Dallas Cowboys depth along lines creates a good problem
https://thelandryhat.com/2019/05/19/dallas-cowboys-depth-good-problem/

...It all began in 2011. With the ninth overall pick in the draft, Dallas selected Tyron Smith. Six Pro Bowls and two All-Pro selections later, the Cowboys landed their possible Hall of Fame left tackle. Ever since that time, Dallas has drafted either an offensive lineman or defensive lineman in every draft with one of their first three picks.

2012 – Tyrone Crawford, DL – 81st overall in round three.
2013 – Travis Frederick, OL – 31st overall in round one.
2014 – Zack Martin, OL – 16th overall in round one.
DeMarcus Lawrence – 34th overall in round two.
2015 – Randy Gregory, DL – 60th overall in round two.
Chaz Green, OL – 91st overall in round three.
2016 – Maliek Collins, DL – 67th overall in round three.
2017 – Taco Charlton, DL – 28th overall in round one.
2018 – Connor Williams, OL – 50th overall in round two.
2019 – Trysten Hill, DL – 58th overall in round two.
Connor McGovern, OL – 90th overall in round three.

That is a lot of draft capital focused on building depth in the trenches. Of course, the Dallas Cowboys have also used free agency to augment their draft selections. This offseason, Dallas signed Christian Covington, Kerry Hyder and Robert Quinn to go along with their second-round pick in Hill. They also re-signed offensive tackle Cameron Fleming besides drafting McGovern...

Need to build in the trenches. I think, at least on paper they have a DL to go along with the OL.
Getting the DT position fixed and with depth looks to have been resolved. As well as what looks to be a true RDE opposite of DLaw that should be consistent.

As I said, on paper but now need to see it in TC, then game one. If Garrett allows them playing time in PS games to get the rust knocked off for game one.

On paper I like our d and o lines i like our depth I just Hope looney does not get mad at having to be the backup it’s not a demotion we need him Incase Fred isn’t feeling 100%

and sua filo is just nasty at blocking like putting raw chitterlings in the microwave for 5 minutes and eating them nasty

Like this strategy. We really need Hill to be a stud and I hope Gregory is actually allowed to play this year. Curious if people here think Tyron Smith is really headed to the hall of fame. I guess it depends on how long he lasts.

First, I think Tyron Smith is a HOF...he dominated for a good chunk of time and is still a Pro Bowl player.

Finally, DAL has seen the light and are investing in their trenches, but I need 1st round investments on this DL. They highest they draft is 2nd rounders.

OL is in great shape and can get better, excellent job there, especially in comparison to most of the league.

You can say on paper the DL looks good to go, but forgive me for having recollection of offensive lines choking out all these guys except DLaw. Quinn should certainly help and RG needs clearance. Unless you count Covington as a big change at DT, has the needle really moved there?

Overall, the trenches look solid...SB worthy? Gonna need some good surprised.

It starts up front. Games are won in the trenches. Old adages for a reason. I'm a firm believer that if you can control or disrupt the line of scrimmage you have a good chance of winning, if you can do both your chances go up dramatically.

Yeah, no idea on Gregory. He looked SO damn good last season. If indeed it's weed again I just can't stress enough how absolutely clownish the league office really is. Crap is being legalized all over the country for crissakes. Enough already. I mean....the guys has never hurt anyone but himself to my knowledge. Just insane to keep this up...can't stand Goodell. Such a hypocritical dirt bag.
