Statistics are for those who are arguing a point that the eye test suggests their argument is incorrect.

His numbers are better, because of the system he played in. No GM walking the Earth at any time in the history of the sport would take him over Troy.
McNabb played in the WCO did he not?
Troy would have had record-breaking stats if he played in the WCO.

This is a pretty stupid reason to keep someone out of the Hall of Fame, thankfully most people don’t subscribe to it or someone like Witten would go from a lock to a no-chance.

This is the scenario of if you didnt know Aikman from say college or seen him play in the 90s you would think this is a good argument. Aikman had a mean arm he could throw with the best of them and he was as accurate as any QB ever. This is why he was a number 1 pick. He wasnt a reach.
Everyone back then felt he was number 1 and for a reason . If he had played for a passing offense his numbers would probaly be doubled. He sacrificed his game for the run game with Emmitt Smith. What he could do truly showed in the playoffs. If you loaded the box , he would make you pay quickly and consistently. That team was truly a machine and Troy was a huge part of that. I truly feel he we would have built the offense around Troy and still had that defense , we still would have won at least one superbowl.

Troy Aikman- three rings. The guy ate pressure for breakfast.

McNabb- zero rings. Lost his breakfast during his only Super Bowl appearance.

The bigger the game the better Aikman played. If the Cowboys' offense didn't center around Emmitt Smith Aikman would have had at least 100 more TD passes in his career.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Alright Cowboyszone, let him have it.

hes right about the number but wrong about earning a HOF bid..i mean Romos number blew Aikmans out of the water in the Regular season but Aikman seemed to excel in the biggest games sort of like Foles.. Ive posted Aikmans a career RS numbers, they arent great at all..pretty bad stat wise low TD number and pretty high INT numbers, no one remember that but Postseason and SBs he was another guy..im not siding with Mctubby but he is correct on numbers alone but thats not what the HOF Canton uses as determining factors..

Aikman had four Top 5 seasons in passer rating. McNabb had two.

Every HOF QB who played most of his games post-merger has at least four Top 5 seasons except two -- Bradshaw and Kelly. And they both had more Top 10 seasons than McNabb's five.

HOF QB since 1970
Top 10 (Top 5) seasons

Staubach 7 (5)
Bradswhaw 6 (2)
Griese 11 (5)
Fouts 8 (5)
Montana 13 (9)
Kelly 7 (2)
Elway 5 (4)
Young 8 (8)
Marino 12 (6)
Moon 6 (4)
Aikman 6 (4)
Stabler 5 (4)
Favre 11 (6)
Warner 6 (4)

McNabb 5 (2)

Even completely ignoring postseason, McNabb doesn't measure up. If he were in, he'd be the least accomplished QB. And then there are all these guys whose arguments are as good or better than McNabb's.

Ken Anderson 9 (5)
Philip Rivers 7 (5) (so far)
Tony Romo 8 (4)
Dave Krieg 6 (3)
Boomer Esiason 5 (4)
Steve Bartkowski 5 (3)
Trent Green 5 (3)
Phil Simms 5 (3)
Bernie Kosar 5 (2)
Neil Lomax 5 (2)
Danny White 5 (2)

Me and McNabb have the exact same "numbers" of super bowl rings.

Troy Aikman has 3 super bowl rings.

Someone tell McFlabb not to drink and tweet cuz it makes him look like a moron.
