1 super bowl does not make you a perineal powerhouse.. No one outside of Philadelphia cares about the Eagles. Yall will always be in our shadow. Yes we can hardly remember our last superbowl... but yall are still so irrelevant compared to our franchise history its hilarious. It is truly sad after one superbowl every Eagles fan pretends they are the golden standard. Im sorry my Zoner friend but yall will never be close...

It makes you a contender for a few years at least if you keep your team together.

Yea. Maybe yall can do some damage with a cakewalk schedule during regular season, but i dont see a deep playoff push. Maybe Im biased though.

Even when you swept us and won the division and proved all the doubters wrong and got your number 1 WR that shot Dak’s stats to the moon... you ended up no farther in the playoffs than we did. And that was when you had the ‘cakewalk’ second place schedule. If that’s something to gloat about, Maybe you are biased.

The 1st link is an OP/ED by some putz named "Kevin Boilard" (WHO ???????) , the 2nd and 3rd are non-descript places calling themself "The Top Tens" and "Electro-Mech Scoreboard Company" and the last one is another worthless OP/ED by a Matt Meltzer , a former contributor to COSMOPOLITAN magazine..................

Wow , who can argue with such solid football luminaries like those , clown shoes....................................

Somehow Dallas' crappy QB, HC and Owner/GM own the Birds. Wentz has not proven anything without a loaded roster so why are banging on Dak for Cooper? Oh that is right, there is a picture of Wentz holding the Lomardi and he has a ring. LOL so does the ball boy and the dudes washing the jocks.

Funny how the eagles have owned the Rams in that span. And the patriots. And the Vikings. And the Falcons. And the Bears. The Title contenders. Because that’s what we’re about now.

Look at your comment... We’ve become your super bowl.
With the Cowboys 5 Super Bowl victories to the Eagles 1, the Super Bowl is the Cowboy's Super Bowl and the Super Bowl is the Eagle's once in a lifetime event. :lmao:

C'mon, Melonfeud. There's at least a possibility that double doink was caused by Treyvon Hester's finger tip.

You don't mention that the Seahawk's lost Janikowski while making that FGA to end the first half of the Cowboys - Seahawks WC game. Maybe it's the Seahawks advancing to the divisional round instead of the Cowboys if they don't lose their FG kicker for half of the game. Cowboys couldn't beat the Eagles in 2017 when they lost Jake Elliott. Cowboys couldn't beat the Rams when they lost Zeurlein in 2017. Congratulations, I guess the third time's the charm.

Good Morning, Mr. Melonfeud. Copy on the "buddy" portion of your post.

I've been thinking for quite some time that the inter-division rivalries exists more among the fans than it does among the teams.

The rivalry is way, way more about the fans. These guys playing for my team are kids. I was following the team before even their parents were sperm (in some cases).

Once a player is involved with a team for a while, I’m sure that sense of rivalry develops. But it doesn’t compare to the decades of invested emotion that fans have.

There has been plenty of trash talk between the locker rooms. And Eagles will talk crap and even admit to not liking Dallas. It is more than just the fans though it is not intense with the players as it used to be.

My mom became an Eagles fan when Roman Gabriel became the QB for the Eagles. I came by my fandom differently. I love football. There's teams I like, teams I don't like, and teams I don't have a feeling for one way or the other. But there's only one team I'm emotional about. Sometimes I think our teams pick us, rather than us picking our teams.

At times in years past, it sure seemed that the Eagles would lose the week following an Eagles/Cowboys game. I know often times actual events don't match with perception. So I really don't know if perception is the reality. There's only so much emotion, physicality, and mentality teams and players possess. And the Eagles seemed to use at least 2 games worth of each when playing the Cowboys. It just seemed like they had nothing left after playing the Cowboys. And it showed the following week. And the Cowboys would just go about their business of winning games after our games. It didn't matter the outcome of our games. The Eagles were just another team the Cowboys had to play on their schedule. And they treated it as such.

I think it's leveling off among the fans, viman96.

Before FA it was mostly the same players playing against the same players year after year. Now they might find themselves on the same team at some point down the road. Whoever thought Vontaze Burfict and Antonio Brown would be teammates?

Yep no doubt. Add in social media and players using the same agents and have the same sponsors outside of football makes it a completely different world. Back in the day many players had local jobs and sponsors during the offseason.

Maybe I got the wrong hero. Metropolis is actually referred to as being in Delaware, a predominant Eagles territory. Perhaps it’s the Man of Steel, the ultimate superhero, that’s an Eagles fan?
Does he throw batteries packed in snowballs too?
