Texas billionaire Ross Perot Dies

What happened to the H? When I lived in TX in the mid 80's he was always referred to as H Ross.

you made a helluva run at it.
prayers and GODSPEED.

I remember a girl I worked with voted for him and was convinced he would win.

I tried explaining that he had no chance and wouldn't win one state.

89 years old is long life. RIP.

RIP Perot. I remember what a hard nosed businessman you were from my IT days in Dallas. One of those guys I could dislike and admire at the same time.

A great man, RIP Ross Perot. Obviously the Clintons loved him, the Bushes not so much. Was dead right on that Giant Sucking sound, everyone else was afraid to call it as they saw it. Sold American jobs for trinkets. Geez, I sure hope this is not viewed as being too political.

Wasn’t he forced out of the race because they were going to expose a family member?

No, he left the race because his public image was important to him and both truth and BS was coming out about him. He and the current president were very much the same except in two separate ways. Perot felt actual public shame (which was the very reason he initially dropped out of the presidential race) and Ross had an extremely high business intelligence. Which was the reason for Ross' extremely successful business acumen vs the current president's success from social aspects of business and rather than his unsuccessful businesses outside of the social realm.

Anyhow, I digress. RIP Ross, you did great things for the technology field and parts of that played a large role in my career. For that, I thank you.

RIP

Super bright and generous man.
My kids and I love that Perot Museum, btw. Science rules.

You have no business being in politics if you have a conscience. I remember him as a likable nut job. RIP Mr Perot.

Likable if you didn't work for him. He was similar to Steve Jobs in that manner. Nobody liked to work for an unbending, angry, wildebeest of a boss.

I worked for him, but not directly with him. I thought he was both a terrific visionary and leader of EDS for those years. His biggest failure was the decision to sell EDS to GM and one that he was never able to remedy.
